This head coach has 20 wins total in his career I believe. Forgot the Louisville win earlier when I said 19. Expecting half that in one year is a bit ambitious IMO no matter what the spin machine spits out.

Just like Coach Eaux giving Hugh Freeze and Frank Wilson their first ever college coaching jobs. Frank is the most successful coach in UTSA history and Freeze beat Bama twice in his years at Ole Miss.

You sure you want to use Hugh Freeze, the fricking pervert who was fired because of his perversions, as O's crown jewel in his coaching tree?

Part of being a successful coach is not getting fired because you're hiring hookers, or at least not being enough of an idiot to use your school issued phone to order them.

And what an illustrious, historically significant program it is.

Coach Eaux has a heck of a coaching tree. His tree contains guys who he gave their first start.

Reading most of your posts about Coach o is like listening to Sean Spicer or Sarah Hucklebee Sanders talk about the Trump Presidency. Make everything out to be a bigger deal than it really is. And when something goes wrong, deflect and deny.

And for the record, I gave myself the first downvote because I hate when people try to inject politics into a sports discussion.

Well, one reason why Saban's so good is that he innovated the practice of these large support staffs to a degree.

Orgeron's just copying

Saban copied it from the NFL. He didn't just dream it up driving to work one morning. He got it just like Orgeron says in the article on why he is doing it.

Saban is good friends with the New England Patriots coach. I'm sure that is where he got the idea from. No shame in using an existing idea if it is proven to be successful.

That's one reason why Orgeron isn't the guy to take down Saban

Why because they both used their NFL experience to know they wanted large support staffs to help the program be prepared for future opponents?

Orgeron only did it after Saban did it.

What has Orgeron ever done that he didn't get from another college coach?

I'm so encouraged by all the great news coming out about the offseason work and coaching changes along with the recruiting developments. There's no reason to think that we won't win at least 9-10 games next year. Now, add the fact that he's learned from his mistakes from last season and the sky is the limit with all this talent he's recruited the last two years.

Last play of Notre Dame? Blaming the coaches on that is stupid. It would be like firing Saban after he lost to Clemson.

Track records matter. Not one play. That same defense kept us in that game

As I highlighted, you said PLENTY in all caps. I'm not sure one equates to plenty, but OK.

If you are arguing that EXPECTING 10-2 or greater based on the current state of the program and schedule is unrealistic then I probably agree with you. It's possible, but I find it unlikely.

I’m confused, how did you go from:

We aren't winning 8 games next year. Not sure how anyone can look at Saban, Smart and Fisher in our conference and feel confident with Ed Orgeron. This isn't a time for great optimism for our football program. Fricking atm finished right behind us in recruiting and fisher was there like a month. Don't kid yourselves. Orgeron isn't the answer.

Call it whatever you want. It's reality. You're right. If we win 8 games the big jackass will be back in 2019 but we aren't gonna win 8 games. I'd bet a good bit on that

Bert,
I've seen the light. I was upset with how signing day went down, but now I'm convinced after reading all the awesome press releases about Orgeron and our recruits. Can't wait to see the results!!

After reading all the stuff the media is putting out and all of Ed's big promises about the offense....man I'm ready for September!! No reason to expect or accept less than 9 wins. The talent is here and coach has his handpicked staff of guys he trusts. Let's Geaux!!!

There really have been a lot of those posts, but as I said, I'm not going searching for them but I will be on the look out for more and maybe bookmark them.

I think you nailed it after that. It's definitely possible. I continually say there is some reason for optimism. For me, until O proves it, I can't expect it though.
