Been twice and never really had an issue. Parking does suck. Do not go for the tailgating because it is horrible. Go for the game and leave and you should be fine as long as you are not walking around drinking wearing the purple and gold like others have said. Go in a bar and drink before the game on that little shitty strip next to campus. Forgot the name of it.

We absolutely took over Gainesville in '98 coming off the miraculous 28-21 victory the year before in tiger stadium. Their fans said they had never seen anything like it. Even the cops were laughing at how we were everywhere. Anyhooch, not a whole lot to do or see in Gainesfart but the stadium is nice and one of the louder stadiums. Whatever you do don't park illegally or they will tow you.

I've gone to the Swamp for a game for 20 years with a UF buddy of mine. Tailgating is everywhere - just like most other major football schools. And the campus is pretty.

Now, Gainesville isn't the best, and the stereotype of tacky fans wearing jorts is accurate, but the Swamp itself is loud and spirited.

Don't listen to the negative posters - you may not like Gainesville in general, but you'll love the campus and the game itself.

Bring your Jorts, knock out your front teeth, and learn every Tom Petty song by heart. Then you will fit right in.

They wrote a song about what you will see.
