LSU Nation,

10 of us from NYC are visiting NOLA this week and are considering going to the LSU- Arkansas game on Saturday. I need a few questions answers in order to sell the few doubters in the group that this will be an awesome last stop on our trip.

1. Would we be able to show up without a car and find people to tailgate with? Do we need to make arrangements with a tailgate group before arriving on Saturday?

2. Would anyone advise against Ubering from New Orleans and back to New Orleans after the game?

3. What tailgate areas are absolutely can’t miss?

Come to a better game. Not one at 11AM.

That's the best piece of advice I can give you.

Seriously. Enjoy New Orleans without the rush of having to get up and get to BR on Saturday.

You guys should come back for the UGA game next year!

Rent a car before you Uber all the way to and from NOLA. That would be expensive as hell. Also don’t expect much for tailgating with the 11 am kick off

Uber from NOLA? You're crazy.

Tailgating will not be great with the early kickoff.

I have to agree with everything posted so far.

Tailgating will be minimal, because there just is not enough time...you've gotta start breaking down your setup by 10 AM just to be able to see kickoff.

If you can even get an Uber after the game, surge pricing is gonna tear you a new one. You've gotta rent a car to come that far...you can probably rent an economy car for $30 per day.

I would say that if you just have your hearts set on watching some LSU football, come ahead, but I wouldn't expect much. Better off just focusing on a saints game on Sunday if there is one in the Dome.

I hope we have a good turnout with the early game. Important for recruiting. Hasn't helped with this home schedule this season

Attendance at an 11am game will have absolutely no effect on recruiting at all.

Most of the tailgating will occur after the game with the 11:00 am kickoff!

Don't waste your time honestly, and certainly don't get an uber. That's going to cost you a shite ton.

Spend the day in NOLA and hang around for the weekend. Sunday in Nola is po boy fest which is a nice event and you can bar hop uptown to watch the saints game. I love LSU and tailgating, but this is just not a good weekend with your logistics issues.

I say go. Tiger stadium is worth seeing even if it’s not in its night setting. You can be back to New Orleans before it really gets going. Just walk up to any tailgate and tell them you are from out of town. They will welcome you. Start at the parade grounds and work your way to the stadium.
