We've started a lot of true freshman at corner under miles and it hasn't really killed us before

Toliver is a better corner than mills so he will play over him

I think mills moves back down to CB. Adams and either Battle or Jefferson... or I guess possibly Paris at S.

We have an embarrassment of riches at DB

Towards the end of the season, Mills was basically the nickel guy and Adams / Martin played safety most of the time. And Mills has been very blah the last 2 years to. He makes like 3 good plays a seaosn and everyone remembers them, but disappears a lot of the time.

A lot depends on Thomas health. Because he was the better nickel player. If he's not 100%, Mills will most likely be the nickel back. If he is 100%, Mills will play safety with Adams. But Ricky Jefferson will be playing a good bit as well, considering he played a good bit last year as well.

And there's that CB spot that we need to fill as well....

I'd love to see Paris move to FS. But then again we have depth and depth at every spot in the DB.

That;s only because Thomas got hurt.

I agree with you though, I think Mills is overrated by tRant, but he's an above-average starter.

No way, Jose. They currently have more depth at safety (Voorhies, Battle, Thompson, Jefferson, Adams, and possibly Gage) than corner and I think Ricky Jefferson can easily slide into that safety spot while Mills moves back over to corner.

That lineup would not surprise me at all, especially initially due to experience.
CB White
S Adams
S Jefferson
CB Mills
S/CB Nickel C. Thompson

They can cover, hit and tackle. A very aggressive, and athletic group.

It may not start of like this but this is more than likely what the starting line up will look like.

Also I think Jefferson has been slightly more productive at safety than Mills but Mills is seasoned so... I think we will get a better idea come the first game. In any event we still are pretty solid.

We started White and Robinson as FR in 2013 and it hurt us. Young DB's had coverage breakdowns throughout the season. Remember the game at GA... We had the O (QB) that season, but the D was suspect. I would be very surprised to see Tolliver start early, given the amount of returning talent and experience.

Nickel and dime. This is his NFL fate, and his best place as a Tiger as well.

Looking at that depth, this might be the most stacked we have ever been with highly rated recruits I've ever seen at once.

Not what I was seeing - Mills is a play maker and plays with heart - do you go to the home games?

He plays 100% with heart - Mills is a gamer

I'd say not likely at this point. With 3 TF and a JC All-American coming in at CB, I think at least two of those four will see action in the DB rotation, if not 3 or all 4. Very talented guys. Mills will probably stay at safety.

Imagine if Robinson and Collins had come back for 2015.

Is everyone forgetting that Jalen Mills is a Safety because he is too slow to be a corner?
Like where is all this love coming from?

Jamal has safety locked up. Should double his snaps next year since he may not be on ST.

Except when he blames the other DBs when he was getting burnt at corner two years ago and avoiding tackles last year. Other than that, yeah, a gamer.
