The OD is Jay Barker and Al Del Greco. Its good humor b/c Del Greco and Barker go at it every day. The roundtable is pretty funny.

Why would you want his bookie? What he said means LSU would be -8.5. I'm not thinking you would want to take that.

But the other side of it is worthy of my retirement account.

To be fair, Tom Luginbill was on at the opening of the mid-day show and he was the one who actually provided that quote. It caught the hosts a little by surprise, and hence the narrative today. Ah, context is a wonderful thing.

thats their universal excuse. You were listening to the roundtable guys? Dunaway, Taylor and Brown?

Them and the Opening Drive. At least Lance Taylor knows something besides Alabama football. He can pick the upsets.

Interesting. Which players and what did they say?

A number of them have been on and it the have, IMO, become more "confident" as time has gone on. Today on the Roundtable they had one...can't remember his name. Go listen to the podcast. You'll see what I mean. Nick would not dig it at all.

He didn't take the hosts by surprise. This has been the rhetoric for weeks.

No team not named LSU has beated Bama in their last 21 games.

Their fans are a lot like ours...spoiled.

Some sites offer reverse lines for higher payouts. So taking LSU -8.5 would pay 5 to 1 or some multiplier (just taking a total guess at the 5 to 1 though). Basically you sell points for a higher payout. I almost took the reverse line last year at Bama (which I think was around 4.5 or 5 pts so I would have lost since LSU won by 3) but I wound up just doing the moneyline bet and still got +185 on it.

Rockstar is funny. His impression of Favre's sister was hilarious. Dunaway is pure Gump. Grew up with him. Actually he's half nerd half Gump.

Saban's teams have a pattern of getting complacent after 6 to 8 wins and stinking one up.

Show me the last time he went undefeated

The consensus from the callers, the hosts and the Bama players that come on as guests... No team can beat Alabama. If they were to lose, it wouldn't be because of their opponent, it would be because Bama beat themselves. The thing that Saban fears the most seems to be happening...arrogant complacency. I hope they roll Miss St too , so they will roll into TS feeling the same way.

Why shouldn't they feel this way? I would too, if I were them.

Look at what happened last year. Bama is one of few college teams who can literally have their losses wiped away, or have their loses viewed as a win.

I don't blame them at all.

Exactly. In 2011 , Bama's best win was a loss to LSU.
