Having talent is not enough. You have to develop that talent and not only coach them up adequately in practice and film but you have to do a good enough job on gameday as well.

10-1 downvotes say you're wrong. Miles was the best of a bunch of bad options after Saban bailed late in the coaching change season and Florida had already locked up Meyer. Miles took Okie State to the Alamo Bowl and got his arse handed to him. Got lucky in '07 when he backed into the title game after two other team lost on the last day of the season.
Miles has never been a good coach. Should have let his arse go to Arkansas.

You're an idiot. I am not bashing miles. I wish miles would have gotten his shite together this offseason and put an arse kicking on wisconsin like he should have done...then we wouldn't be having this conversation. Hell even if lsu would have squeaked the game out at the end we still would have given him the benefit of the doubt. It was the same ole shite that has been going on for the past few years with lsu football teams. He didn't change anything. Poor special teams, poor offensive line play, poor clock management, poor qb play, poor playcalling, poor execution etc...what the hell, besides all of that shite lsu looked like a well coached football team. Im not defending that effort that we saw Saturday and have seen too often the past years just because I like les miles as a person. He's a football coach and gets paid handsomely to do that. The pay does not match the product dude. He is producing a fricking hyundai with the facilities, resources, personnel, and means to produce a fricking Mercedes-Benz. It's unacceptable and has gone on for too long now without any progress. Time for miles to leave.

Look at coach Miles record here at LSU, compared to the record of all the other coaches to ever coach here. Getting rid of Les for 99% of the coaches out there would be a national joke.

Most of the poster on here think you get talent and you automatically win ships. Many schools with talent don't win near the games Les has won at LSU. Like him or hate him the man's record speaks for itself. LSU has not even been in trouble with the NCAA for any violations during his coaching here, the man is all class win lose or draw.

He's a great coach that did a great job here.
But the simple truth is that the game has passed him by and he refuses to change and adapt to it to win games. And it's time for us to move on from Les Miles if we want to win National Championships.
