What did beta Aggie do about it? Not a damn thing! Now you will get see what an alpha school does when its multimillion dollar contracts are breached!

1. Take him to court
2. Schedule court hearing at the same time of the A&M game
3. ???
4. 3rd and Chavis?

No one really cares about the money. Chavis was a good coach for us, but he acted like a shitheel when he left. Simple as that. Alleva is probably just trying to complicate things for him and A&M, but I doubt anything will come of this. It's $400,000 fricking dollars for crying out loud.

They could think it was about money but they could also think "Why the hell would he leave a team loaded with defensive talent to go to a dumpster fire if there is not something wrong."

I mean it would have to be done in LA. I think we can find an LSU alum judge who believes some "game" is no reason that a grown man cant show up in court.

Doesn't seem like a ton, but there a some big LSU donors who have probably given less than that lifetime.

Chavis didn't fly back with the team and coaches. They could get him for job abandonment.

You think he was talking about LSU with that statement?

He was discussing the opportunity he has with A&M. He certainly wasn't trying to give reasons he left LSU. He's just talking about their path to success. They already have a good offense. Now, he's here to improve the defense.

I am curious as to why there hasn't been an official announcement yet. Could it be because of A&M trying to negotiate the buyout fee or because Chavis is now consulting a lawyer?

Joe Alleva is a fricking coward. Big talking nobody. ATM fans haven't learned that yet? Hell, my LSU buddies can't stand the guy.

Verbal agreements count as well, which are believed to have happened before then

Would be like fumbling just prior to crossing the goal line, it is a fumble, somehow it seems only fair that it happens, LSU reimbursed, after how he ditched the Team.

I wonder if Chavis has given official notice and if LSU can hirer a replacement?

What are the legal rules on all that?

Looked to me the buyout was in effect through Dec. 2015, based off Allevas comments.

Chavis' delay in accepting the A&M position was designed with this 12/31/14 buyout deadline in mind. He went to his ranch to "think about it" while he waited until the deadline passed.

But it is an interesting discussion. Legal matters are determined by details...

I doubt LSU actually takes him to court over it. Sounded more like Alleva trying to smear Chavis's name more than anything.
