do you think Krag will be able to help JJ keep from staring down his primary receiver, and be albe to help his progression reads ? will our offensive line be able to give JJ the time he'll need to find 2nd & 3rd receivers ?

But the problem is we only get two of these games (maybe 3 with a bye week). Its the other 10 that we sweat through each week.

4 total effing yards vs. McNeese. That's beyond stupid.

JJ's only reading half the field on any given down, anyway. Hasn't scanned the field since 2009.

That may explain why he stares them down, typically.

But, to not even have the ability to look the opposite way at the snap to throw the secondary off? That's incredible ineptitude.

Pump fake? Anyone recall a single attempt to throw the defense off with a pump fake in the last three years?

JJ did look to 2nd. and 3rd. at times during the Spring game.

Of course, the defense wasn't allowed to blitz or hit the quarterback either. Will he look to his other options under pressure?

Does that have anything to do with him staring down his primary target at the snap?

Do you not agree that he does it consistently? Do you not agree that a mark of any good quarterback is the ability to scan his reads without locking on, or, if nothing else, simply looking a Safety or Linebacker at the snap to buy his receiver extra space & deny the defense the ability to read the play via his eyes & make a break, that much sooner?

Mtntiger for the next O coordinator. This has pissed me off for the last 3 years also. How can a major college program not be able to execute a pump fake? It works in getting the D leaning the wrong way. We used it all the time in the back yard when I was 10. Teach the pump fake. Is it that hard, can't be, I did it when I was 10.

My favorite Saints play is when Brees pumps right, pumps left then he hits Shockey down the middle for a 30 yard gain. They have only run it a few times but damn that play is a thing of beauty.
