The games are too long there's honestly no debating this. People have shite to do. And I NEVER leave early js I get the reasoning.
The money people would rather people watch on TV so they make the "game" longer (commercials) while making the actual football game shorter. Going to a game nowadays is MUCH more difficult than it used to be. FFS it takes an hour to even get IN the stadium.
Maybe if rich people would stop selling their culture to other interests we could have more control of the situation. Maybe if Landry really has so much "passion" for LSU he could propose a law to stop September day games.
But he would rather pander to the lowest denominator by bitching about getting a SECOND tiger to put in a cage during football games when nobody is even there! Not to mention we would have to build an entirely new habitat for a second Mike. Does he think we would just stick a new tiger in with Mike 7? Is that how tigers work?
TLDR: LSU fans are as passionate as anybody, but we're not a deep state cult like A$M

Some of our fans are entitled trash. What more do you want?
Posted on 10/5/24 at 3:27 pm to hillrosetiger
You want the real answer? The die hards were priced out years ago. Ticket prices, TAF fees, concessions, parking are all exorbitant. Those were the people that made Death Valley electric. Now, we get the great environment once or twice each season because too many tickets are consumed by business and corporate sponsors. Those people stay for a half and hit the exits with no care in the outcome of the game.

And you were probably sitting at home bitching about the crowd.

Yeah when you’re beating the frick out of a top 10 team, everybody is staying. If you want to suck off the Aggies go be a fricking Aggie bitch.

Not being as dumb as them
But, I was in Tiger stadium for the UCLA game, and I’m currently 40 miles outside college station. Todays heat is not even on the same field as it was in Tiger stadium

There is still a remnant of about 40-50K hardcore fanatics in Tiger Stadium, the breed that built the mystique of Death Valley between the 1970s and 2010s. The rest are lazy, indifferent diletantes who don't care deeply about the team and will seize on any faint excuse to leave. Those people should just give up their tickets. It's fine not to care, to be a lukewarm bandwagon fan. That's your right. But don't ruin the stadium atmosphere for the real fans and the kids on the field. Give your tickets up to fans who have passion for the program.
