Name me a program which hasn't finished 2nd or 3rd in the SEC the last decade more times than they finished #1.

If all you got is we don't finish #1 as often as you would like, you really don't have shite.

More remarkable than the # of wins Miles has achieved at LSU during a time when the SEC has never been stronger, is the fact some "LSU fans" want to act as if the greatest period of LSU football EVER is not good enough for them.

Ok, with that said what difference does it make if you are claiming achievements on any level?
Second place is an achievement as is 3 rd and 4th.

So you're telling me that Nick Saban has been at Bama for seven of the nine years that Miles has been here (nearly 80% of the overall time span!), and we're still the winningest program in the SEC over the nine-year stretch?

Wow, makes the nine-year run even more impressive IMO....Thanks for pointing out that Miles' historic run has come simultaneously with college football's greatest-ever HC coaching in the same division... Truly remarkable for LSU and Miles.

Give More for Les!
i still have the shirt!
i have believed since day one!

i (me) was pissed at tiny for leaving to miami!
i couldn't forgive tiny for screwin' us (esp bowl)
i turned to miles right away.

and then, tucking Katrina! i went to az st game!
felt we were screwed by tn, so 05 was great year for me. (tuck all the tiny nut suckers!)

then, it got better and better!

then, i totally understood booting perriloux and having 08 (etc. ad infinitum...) then rebuilding in 09!
then!!!: tiny goes to that other secw school!

my heart was no more broken than team and coaches b/c of 1/9. but, still, my family and i are lsu alums and somehow even remained faithful thru 80's and 90's!

still a lot of tiny nut suckers on here (sad, sad people.)

geaux les miles!
i luv les miles!

All seriousness, Miles has been a great coach and the numbers don't lie.
I get the feeling that he is on to something this year. He seems to be walking around with a bit of an attitude. He verbally bitch slapped AJ on TV, trolling Pawl at his book signing. Miles knows something we don't and I think he's having a hard time holding the excitement in.

i share your feeling!

Since the topic is most wins in nine years, why are you bringing up six years? You retarded? Just curious.

Les has had a remarkable career in the SEC and BCS. Only a dumbass retard or troll wouldn't know how fricking lucky LSU has been to have Les here as our football coach.

Officially, Alabama has 74 wins since 2007 and LSU has 73 wins since 2007...Not looking up other teams nationally, as I'm sure Bama-LSU are 1-2 if not very close to 1-2.

If football is for entertainment, Miles as a coach is #1 in my mind when it comes to value addition in terms of winning AND all the other intangibles.
And, eventually he will win a couple of more titles before his days at LSU are done (aka retired!)

Then there are people whose success in life is dictated by a freaking football season to whom he sucks. There's not much that can be done to change that perspective.

FYI Notre Dame has had ONE ten win season in the last TWENTY years. The media tries to give them credibility because of the nationwide fanbase but I submit that the fanbase has dwindled somewhat. Even a large portion of the media no longer hypes the Irish. The ashkicking the Tide put on them when they did have a decent team proved they're basically irrelevant.
