Ahh... Gotcha. I agree Twitter is pretty flimsy as a source, but you would think he may delve into it deeper through a Rivals article or something of that nature. It is just concerning at the very least, that is it.

He wrote the article and asked Peterson himself who the friend was. It wasn't newsworthy then b/c Lyles wasn't newsworthy.
Either the writer is lying or Peterson is lying. And the evidence leans toward the latter, b/c he made several denials of ever even visiting A&M, which he obviously did.
Take off the P&G glasses.

i've still not seen this.
i've only seen a "reporter" claim that PP7 told him that on the phone.

they had a ticker on espn last night during the NIT championship game about this. Peterson said he never had any contact with Lyles and that he in no way influenced Peterson's decision. He also went on to say that he didn't take any incentives at all to sign with LSU.

im just messing with you, but in all seriousness I never take stories like seriously until something major breaks; all speculation and he said she said.
Not to mention all sportswriters want to break the big cheating scandal story and catapult themselves into a big job

geeze, all of this is irrelevant. it doesn't matter if peterson or his father had a relationship with lyles. it doesn't matter if lyles asked for money on their behalf. they have already stated they did not know if he did or not. and, even if dad knew, it still doesn't matter if pat didn't. therefore, under the cam ruling, this is not a violation. move on.

Peterson never denied going to A&M on an UNOFFICIAL. They just stopped by. He NEVER went to A&M on an official. I know you're in the "news" business and all but you're off base on this one.

Exactly. There's a big difference in just stopping by and an official visit. They get 5 officials and that's what is considered when they "visit" a school. Elite prospects like PP7 camp all over but these aren't considered "visits".
