The perception that LSU fans have gotten nationally...being impossible to please... may not only be chasing the away the most successful coach in the program's history, but may well hinder the search for a replacement.

I had thought about a post with most of those sentiments. Thanks for saving me the time!

So, he beats Florida and the excuse is that Florida's program is down this year.

Lol, what excuse, a W is a W. UF was so down their center couldn't make accurate shotgun snaps 5 games into the season (that is unheard of in college) and they had to use 3 guys at QB compared to LSU's two, plus UF turned over almost their entire defense, but no, they weren't down as a program compared to prior seasons. UT game didn't seem to make your narrative.

This Les Miles to UM every time UM needs a new coach is becoming as tiring as Saban leaving LSU after every season.

I don't know about all of that. Coaches take jobs at such tough places as Notre Dame and Nebraska (Remember Frank Solich?) all the time. An opportunity to coach in a recruit rich environment and in the SEC will out weigh the concern you have about the fans.

Odds of winnng NC in the next 5 years if Miles stays are very low, no matter the talent. nJust how the odds work.
Just about everything Coach Miles does defies the odds. Why would this be any different?

Thank you sir, nicely worded and my sentiments exactly.
Les is a class act and I would miss the miss the guy and his eccentric ways if he leaves.
Too much negativity and unrealistic expectations have plagued Les since he arrived.
I wouldn't blame him if left to take another job where he would be appreciated.
I will pull for his teams here or wherever he winds up.

This. 100x. I'm tired of running plays up the middle for 1yd on 3rd and 7.

I can think of no person that better represents a college football team from the state of Louisiana than the guy who currently runs it.

I have to say, many of you have deluded yourselves into believing this blog carries any weight in the minds of coaches. OR for that matter, represents the entire fan base.

Second, the source of "negatigers" is Gary Crowton and Miles' unwillingness to remove him.

Consistently fielding an under-performing, highly-talented offense is a REAL gripe.

CAUSE: Poor offensive output, embarrassing clock management.
EFFECT: Media attention, added criticism from experts, amplify criticism from fans to justify "expert opinions"...

Have any of you considered that MILES might be leaving because he WANTS to be a MICHIGAN MAN? Let's make MILES responsible for this decision and stop making excuses.

I look at the bright side. At least his EXIT will mean the end of Gary Crowton.

Why can't we keep Miles and get a new OC?
