Adam as always you are the man. Do you see Raph in the 2 hole? With his .500 obp, we could use the base runners.

Also, where is Baranik going... Does McZcune have a legit shot at the rotation? I don't like Eades As an ace, throws strikes but it's classic control vs command

Thanks for this adam. Even though the end was disappointing i feel like the team really overachieved this year. I like the fact that our younger players got to experience a regional and super regional though. I expect next year's team to be one of the top 5-10 teams competing for a championship. Is that realistic in your opinion?

What are you guys thinking of Evan Powell. I remember a big deal in this area between him signing with LSU and playing in Jr worlds

He's hit at every level he's played for a high average. People forget that he was a top 200 player coming out of high school last year. He didn't see a great deal of time frankly because LSU was set defensively with Nola and Hanover. If he shows he can hold down a position defensively he'll play.

The only way I see him hitting #2 is if Jones, Bregman, Moore, or Ross prove they can protect Katz in the four hole.

I don't know where Baranik is going at the moment, when I find out I'll give y'all a shoutout.

I see McCune as a long relief guy or possible Sunday guy. Eades will be the Saturday guy again with Nola taking over on Fridays.

They did, I had predicted at the beginning of the season a 38-18 record with a 16-14 SEC record and hosting a regional before traveling and losing in the Supers. Obviously winning the SEC was something nobody expected and with the nucleus LSU brings back including seniors Katz and Rhymes they'll be predicted to at least win a share of the west in 2013. Omaha next year is in definite reach with the experience coming back and deep bullpen.

How does our current recruiting class compare to the classes of other top programs?

Adam, I know a lot of people on this board would love to see cotton given a shot at a weekend rotation spot, but do we have any incoming lefties that could battle for a spot in the rotation?

i think the big question with Cotton is can he be effective over 6-7 innings, rather than 1 or 2 at a time

If he's matured enough, Hunter Devall. Kid had 89-90 MPH fastball with lots of movement as a sophomore at Zachary. Excellent curve and change up as well.

Isn't Cotton best suited for a single round through a lineup? He changes speeds very effectively but with a second crack at the guy after seeing 8 other at bats, it seems like guys would get the jump on him

He was a hell of a bullpen guy this season, and I'd love to have him in that role once again in 2013

It's not going to be a giant class filled with multiple draft picks so it won't get the publication but it's deep on pitchers and outfielders with two very good bats in Bregman and Chinea. I think it'll be top 20.

As Lester stated Cotton needs to get his stamina up before the staff looks at him as a potential starter. If the Dunn see's him filling that Sunday role then they need to put him in a league in the coming months and work him out in that starter role seeing how he fares.

Gallo

Little article on the future of gallo, would have been so great to bring his big bat to LSU

LSU needs a power bat, someone who teams actually worry about. Rhymes was a singles hitter and doubt he will have another season like that. I hope he hits weights, adds a little upswing, and starts hitting more into gaps and over fence
