Like that as well. I can't wait to see what kind of bat Bregman brings. I think with Katz and Rhymes returning we could be a better hitting team next year than we were this year.

Would love to see Moore develop well enough to hit in the 5 hole. Bump Ross and Jones back one and get that lefty bat right in the middle of the order.

LSU will also be much faster on the basepaths.
Sciambra, McMullen, Jones, and Bregman all have the speed to steal 10-15 bases.
Next years team is going to be very talented.

Personlly I'd like to see rhymes in the 2-3 hole with more power at 4. If we have someone on bad as much as rhymes for a true RBI guy it could be deadly

I like rhymes in the 2 hole too, good contact could do hit and run and the like, and would be a good table setter...only down fall would be speed I guess

I liked what I saw from Broussard....good control of the fastball and nice curve

More left handed hitters are imperative considering the majority of pitchers are of the right handed variety.

Batting Order
1 - Bregman
2 - Jones
3 - Rhymes
4 - Katz
5 - Ross
6 - Moore
7 - McMullen
8 - Powell
9 - Sciambra
Just to start the season. Then Sciambra works his way to the top of the lineup and maybe JJ drops to 5 and Bregman to 2

I have too. He just didn't have enough to make the weekend rotation because of what Nola did. I think he is a legit #1 or #2 but def our #3 to start

Are there any incoming pitchers that have the potential to be a strter next year? Eades struggled late, and I'd feel more comfortable with a big incoming arm for the hill.

Can Powell and McMullen hit?
McMullen had a 525 OBP at Delgado. And slugged 742. Both outstanding numbers. could be our leadoff hitter.
OUr weekend rotation will be fun to watch. We have a lot of good arms after Nola and Eades. McCune, Broussard, Bourgeios, Cotton, Sewald, Glenn,

Fortunately, you represent a small minority.
Thanks Adam for your super post. Greatly appreciate an early look at 2013 LSU Baseball.

Agree. Rhymes@2, Katz@3, Bregman@4, Jones@5. Jones will be a key factor next year. I'd love to see ~.300 w/8-10 hr. He definately has the talent. Where would he go in next years draft with those numbers? 2nd round??

That's a possibility but Eades will find his stride next year as he continues to mature.

Sewald and LaMarche are big time arms.

Nice writeup
What are you guys thinking of Evan Powell. I remember a big deal in this area between him signing with LSU and playing in Jr worlds
