OBUDan showed his arse after that first game with that "unbiased" analysis of Lee's play in the UO game.

Ironically he was nowhere to be found to do it following the other 3 games. I won't be shocked to see him do it following this game since there were clear drops, but he'll want to know down Lee.

When OBUDan is one of your only defenders, you have a serious problem.

Further, I like how he picks JJ's best 5 game stretch last year claiming defenses get better as the year goes on, when traditionally they get worse, while offenses will get better, yet picking the first 5 games where the offense is starting under a new playcaller should be running on all cylinders.

How about taking JJ's bowl game performances out since Lee never got to have 4-5 weeks to prepare for a game like JJ did as a starter in those bowl games.

If a QB can throw then it must take DB's out of the box, and make the safeties back pedal on the snap.
Generally, your statement is true. A QB (like Jefferson) who can run and throw will burn a stacked box. (Oregon didn't take anybody out of the box against LSU. )

He showed back up trying to prove Lee was a terrible and incapable QB and that all catches made this year are miracles of the highest order.

There were eleventy bajillion threads started that said that Lee would have had a huge night if LSU WRs did not drop passes. The board was, in effect, begging for the analysis OBUDan provided.

The next few games, there was no controversy, so there was no demand to start such a thread.

Defenses get worse as the year goes on? Is LSU's defense getting worse? Is Bama's defense getting worse?

Straight up, should there be a QB controversy? Should JJ take over? I'm talking right now, no what ifs. Simple Yes or No will suffice.

Not right now.

LSU can win with Lee.

You don't know crap about football, ever heard of play action? A good passing quarterback is the RBs best friend

You don't know crap about football.

Jefferson has almost 4,000 yards passing.

He holds the ball and gets sacked, the Offense this season under Lee is the best I have seen since Flynn left.

He rushed for 450 yards last year including the negative yards from sacks. He also rushed for 7 TDs.

Yards per game is not a made up stat.

Jefferson has played in 33 games.

Lee has played in 34 games.

3996/33 gamess = 121 ypg

3436/34 games = 101 ypg

To the contrary, a QB who is a threat to run tends to make every running play more productive regardless of who carries the ball whether it is the QB or the RB.

DTs, DEs, and LBs must account for a QB who can run on each play. Thus, even when a RB carries the ball, the RB will tend to gain more yards on the carry.

Our fan base is too stupid to understand this.

I'll take your lack of facts or analysis as acceptance of my OP.

Thanks.

Wow, that was the worst stat ever considering you are using games where JL maybe took 2 snaps.

It's a crap stat. However, it's not as craptastic as RobbBobb's yps stat.

I love JL but if JJ can throw as good as lee he needs to get more snaps.

Well he can't so the point is moot.
