I never argued the final score, I said our team looked lethargic and disinterested.

but you stated you did not have any fun whatsoever watching the game. I just dont get it? it was still a blow out and i bet you cheered drank and had fun. Cus i know i sure did.

i just find it crazy you are trying to find fault in les miles for winning 31-3. some people just are never satisfied. Which is why i stated only 3 out of the 10 games were not fun for me to watch, but we won 2 of them.

Not really, and for a lot of reasons, not just their performance on the field. I plan to continue renewing my season tickets, but will probably sell or give away most, if not all, the games next year.

You are a joke, sonnyboy. Also, like I told a couple of other jackwads like you, your opinions on the team and coaches mean less than jackshit to anyone who matters at LSU.

yes, I remember, and this was still worse. UAB was bad too, maybe it's a tie, does that make you happy?

That's not fun, either. But if you are going to bitch about something, bitch about something that can affect change, i.e., the coaching and playing. Bitching about fan behavior is worthless, it doesn't affect anything.

NO, I'm not. Just frustrated and voicing my opinion.

No, you're just a fricking moron....do you really think that your bitching about coaching will really have an impact! You guys talk about how Les won't be able to get top recruits and can't handled them when they get here....but I think fans like you are more likely the reason the top recruits won't come and you have proven that you have no idea how to handle success.

I can think of 20 or so seasons since the fifties that were less fun than this. Anybody remember the 90's?

Don't have time to read all the previous comments, but I think that the last 2 seasons of the Miles Era haven't been as fun as the first 3 (as some of the Saban years) because:...

1. The offense just hasn't been there. We do average things with exceptional talent. QB play in 08 and O-line play this year have really hurt us.

2. The defense line hasn't been is not as talented or emotional as past years- we rarely sack the quarterback or make tackles for loss. After so many years of watching dominating defensive lines, it's hard to get excited about this years group.

3. The fan base has developed unrealistic expectations. Miles went to 2 SEC championships, 1 sugar bowl and 1 national championship in his first 3 years at LSU. It's hard to repeat that. Especially with the rise of Florida in the past 4 years and now the rise of Bama.

4. Miles lacks emotion, excitement and communication skills. It doesn't mean he's a bad coach, just means he isn't a very exciting person to have as the face of you're program.

5. The past 2 seasons we've played down to the level of our competition. (09- Miss St, La. Tech and 08- Ark, troy)

Overall, I think that LSU fans need to CHILL OUT. With Florida and Bama both loosing some key players after this year, I think we should win the SEC next year.

However, if we loose to Ark. and Ole Miss the next two weeks, then LSU fans can start complaining (including me).

Judging by your idiotic rants and self righteous posts, you're the bigger moron. I never said Les can't get top recruits, we've had the top recruiting classes in the nation for about 3-4 years now. You don't even know what you're talking about, you just spew junk, most of it is senseless, like your stupid thread you started tonight to bitch about people having opinions, which is your own opinion. So you're bitching at yourself, you moron.

Good grief. What are you, stuck in the 1950's or something. You are one of the worst posters on this site, you provide nothing to the discussion but drivel.

I was just as excited about going to he La Tech game Sat night as I was as an kid in '70 to see us play Texas A&M - couldn't wait to make the curve on River Road and see the stadium; hustling up the ramp to get a first glimpse of the field. Still lots of fun.

I think what's made it less fun are:
1) too many undesirable OOC games
2) piped-in music
3) way too often seeing an unprepared, underachieving team

Is LSU football fun anymore?

Posted a while back and a very legit question. For me, NO. (and I'm an old-timer). I was 3 years old when Cannon made the historical run. Don't remember it but was listening on the radio with my family.

For me, the LSU football experience has always been stress filled. But on Fall Saturday nights/afternoons you know where you can find me. I am a glutton for punishment I guess.

Winning the SEC & MNChampionships have spoiled me. Unrealistic expectations from the recruiting classes have also contributed.

The hard core truth is without solid QB, OL and DL play, all this talent at the skilled positions are null and void. The reason it's not fun is because we don't have all the pieces of the puzzle (OL, DL, QB) to fully take advantage of our talent. In addition, the lack of discipline resulting in bone-headed mistakes is somtimes too much to take. Not to mention the WWF mentality of SEC officiating.

Bottom line...Winning is Fun...Losing is a drag.

I never thought I'd say this, but fans expecting to be in the National Title game every year is what takes the fun out of it.

Remember when we were excited to be in a New Years' Day Bowl, now, if it isn't the Sugar or BCS Title Game we should fire everyone.

Les Miles isn't the greatest coach in the world, but name a better coach who would WANT to be here??? Think of all the big names out there, do you think they'd want to come to LSU when the fanbase wants to run Miles out of town less than two years after he won a National Title.

Attitude reflects leadership...

and no it hasnt been fun to watch all that talent go to waste....so how some way I know we are better than what has shown, which in turn you have to look at leadership.

-La Tech...doesn't need an explanation. Probably the worst showing in Tiger Stadium by an LSU team since the Curley Hallman years. A complete clusterfrick and a stain on the Les Miles tenure.

How quickly we forget.... Can you say "UAB"!!!! How can you lose to freaking UAB? This was not in the Miles era.
