re: A more in depth break down of BYU for what it's worth. Super long post - apologies.

Personal issues? C'mon man, you cant just leave that softball.
He stole clothes... from the women's soccer and track team. Stole woman's clothing (that is my story and I am sticking with it).
Most fabulous dressed DE in the country!

Losing guys always hurts, due to the depth of LSUs recruiting classes each year it's obvious you guys can absorb it better than we can. He was a big loss for us last year, but in the long run I think it helps us. Mostly I just hope the kids that have issues can learn from it and become better people.

Yeah Bushman has been a standout by all accounts. It seems that every time they are gushing over his ability it's with respect to his performance in the pass game. Nwigwe has been getting some looks as a more blocking oriented TE.

The theft was a part of it but doesn't seem to be the whole story . As far as people's dirty laundry - I don't feel it my place to get specific. But what you said isn't inaccurate.

On the OT? That could include anything. I'm not aware of anything that doesn't piss that cesspool of a board off.
Tell them you can bench press more than them and watch the board eat itself alive.

"'ll, also, not be losing my mind if the game is a contest into the late 3rd qtr. MANY on here will be going insane, however"
that is gospel truth. I have only followed "score board" a couple of times and it is distilled insanity.

I told my buddy in Austin you suggested this. I thought you might like his response

Jangus I respect the shite out of you.

Why thank you Death Valley. Best of luck to your team this season (with the exception of week 1 obviously)

Lets keep going. When the run is stuffed. How will the passing game proceed?

LSU wins by 21+. I read all the OPs posts, but I also watched a few BYU games. Like he said their DBs are very average, Canada's misdirection and shifts are gonna put our receivers and Guice/CEH in space. Canada is gonna light that D up. Bookmark this post, this game is over in the 3rd quarter.

So in this scenario we're assuming the running game inside and outside is shut down completely?
If that's the case and they're pinning their ears back and gunning for Mangum probably run some screens to Ula (our 250lb back has soft hands) try to loosen up some of the pressure. Or work some shovel pass or get our more shifty backs out in space against LB try to get someon to miss, to try and get running-like plays.
If they get pressure rushing 3 to 4 guys and drop the rest in coverage: quick throws that are short on yardage. Not much else to do there with our personnel. This is my nightmare scenario.
If they can't get pressure rushing 3 to 4 and Mangum has time he's accurate enough he should be fine - he's a bit of a gun slinger so that could get dangerous with the athletes in your secondary. If they need to bring more people to get pressure I think our TE are a nice relief valve and could provide some relief.

Well get ready buddy! The emphasis since the spring has been QB pressure and turnovers. Chaisson, Key, Thorton, Thompson, and Delpit are gonna be on your QBs asss all night long! ALL NIGHT LONG.

And thanks for the super long warning, you sure weren't lying but gave great information. Hopefully, your warning of it being a very long post prevented some of the rantards from putting TL;DR. I haven't read past your post but it wouldn't surprise me if there was a bunch of them, even after being warned.
Anyways, just wanted to thank you for providing some great insight into a team I'm sure many of us didn't get to see much of and don't know much about. At least that holds true for me.
Thanks

Safety experience worries me a little in the secondary, but the guys out there are very talented.
We have veteran corners that can play on an island, and that will allow the safeties to focus on playing center field or moving into run support.
The dink and dunk game killed our D vs Wisconsin last year, but the passing D got much better once Aranda became comfortable with the personnel.
I'm still skeptical about moving to a 3-4. Especially without a true nose tackle. However, the speed coming off the edge is nasty. That's where the real advantage for LSU lies.

I also responded to your LB post because I wanted to ask about them. I heard on a couple of different college football shows (can't remember which ones though) that y'alls (you guy's
) LB group is very good and has at least 2, but possibly 3 pro prospects at that position.
I'm almost certain I remember them saying 2, maybe I'm misremembering and they only said 2 and not 3. Anyways, what's your thoughts on this? I read your breakdown on them and I've heard some of the same things about Butch.
I guess my question is, with Butch seemingly being 1 of the pro prospects they were talking about, do you think 1, or both, of the others have pro potential as well?
And if they are that good, I wouldn't be surprised if your de gave us more trouble than some around here expect. If they can somehow contain Guice, looks like we'll be seeing just how improved our passing game is, if it is.
