A message to the Lord Saban Lovers

Do any of you remember that your football god, Saban, was 9 - 3 his last year here, after a national championship year?
Do you remember that he barely beat Troy, Oregon State and Ole Miss that year, got blown out by Georgia and lost to a Big Ten Iowa school in the final bowl game (on a defensive secondary screw-up, even though he was allegedly a "solid gold secondary coach")?
Do you remember that the 2004 season occurred when Lord Saban had 4 years of recruits under his belt?
You act like Saban was undefeated every year that he coached at LSU. His 4 years at LSU can't touch Les Miles' 4 years at LSU - not even close.
I recall that Saban lost to 4 out-of-conference opponents and that Miles has never lost to an out-of-conference opponent.
I recall that Saban lost 2 out of 4 bowl games and that Miles is undefeated in bowl games.
I recall that Saban got blown out by a Shula-coached Alabama team by a score of 31 - 0. I don't think that every happened to Miles.
Let's see what happens when Saban's assistant coaches start leaving annually (remember, they did at LSU as well) and when his players start quitting the team (like they did at LSU). Saban has already lost a few assistant coaches and the trend will continue.
Hands down - I'll take Miles as the leader of our LSU team anytime, any day.
I want a coach that defends his players, his coaches and his team in public.
I want a coach that has character and is loyal to our school and his team.
I want a coach that is honest with his players and our fans.
I want a coach that is positive and that I am proud to say represents LSU.
I want a coach that shows respect to the media.
I want Les Miles and I don't want Nickie Saban.

Jesus, wipe off your chin.

Why would I duck? Unlike the negatigers, I am proud of my position and I'm happy to say so. I've been attending LSU games since 1967 and you have no idea how good we have it now compared to the last 40 years. Those that don't understand are just immature, spoiled fans who have no loyalty to LSU, its players or the coaches.

As I said in the other thread that you posted this in......
Awesome rant...really is.
Got me pumped......until I remembered that the reality is that Bama is about to finish its second consecutive undefeated SEC season in a row while LSU hasn't won a truly meaningful game during the same time.

You mean 2 games better than Miles 8-5 (3-5 SEC) after his NC year?

What is worse - losing to a Coach Fran team or a Shula team? Can't imagine anything more embarrassing that losing to either of them by that score.

That was a pretty shitty game for sure. I sat through the whole thing like I always do. Too bad Saban didn't get a 2 year pass for losing his starting QB like Miles has. Oh wait, he didn't need it, LSU went 13-1 the next season. God, that sucked.

Yeah,I remember when 9-3 Saban was BAD,
Watch this year when a 9-3 Miles is GOOD. Might be a flaw in your thinking, just sayin!?!

Hey drizztiger,
Miles has a 2-3 record against Florida & Urban Meyer.
Nick Saban had a 2-3 record against Florida. What Florida coach did he beat?

Thats right SABAN DID NONE of this when he was here. HE JUST got us where we are NOW!!!!

Saban would not come back if we offered him $5 MIL a year. He doesn't work like that. He did his work at LSU and has moved on. SO SHOULD YOU!!! BETTER COACH IS SABAN AND ITS NOT EVEN CLOSE!!!!
