maybe you need to see his interview after the Bama game, on how he lifted Lee up saying the team had his back and he would be back on the field.
you're an idiot.

Maybe I just completely missed him saying that through the several games last year where Lee lifted him up? All I heard was how well he thought he played and how many games he won as a starter. As someone posted above, can't have it both ways.
And to OP, please explain why he should be singled out for a standing ovation? How about Alleman? Or Wing? Or Sam? Or Eric Reid? JJ had a positive contribution to a great win, as did all the ones I mentioned and plenty more. Why do you want me to give him extra credit?

Who will be last man to be introduced on senior day, jefferson or lee?

this
and furthermore Ive read several times on here posters state that JL isnt a "pussy" and that he isnt "fragile".. I think the same can be said for JJ.
Best way to get fans off your back regardless the position you play is to let your play on the field dictate it.
JL has done that this season, JJ took a step in that direction last sat.

JJ took a step in that direction in the alabama game last year and has been playing well ever since

Because he was freaking boo'd in his own stadium by "fans" who thought it was impossible that he could contribute to this season.
The fans were wrong. The treatment was horrible. Jefferson was the glue that held the offense together when Lee fell apart. That doesn't mean Lee shouldn't start moving forward. I think he should (assuming he hasn't totally lost it). But, Jefferson absolutely should be applauded for what he did as a leader in that game.

And JL was booed more in 2008 than JJ ever thought about being booed, all the while being thrown under the bus by his coaches and a fair number of teammates. Yet, he continued to practice, persisted, even when maybe his performance suggested he should start last year, and then stepped in literally at the last minute when Shadygate happened, and led us to an unbeaten season (so far). So remind me again, why should JJ get special thanks for his contribution in 1 game?

Hey to the OP, I kinda hate these kind of threads. Appreciating one person on the team. Do you remember the thousands of threads the fricktards had appreciating Lee? Appreciate the team and tigerlee I bet you were in the thick of that bullshite too. This got old after the first one.

The same interview where he said "I put the team on my back"?
Interviews are not really Jefferson's strength...like the one before the season when he said he would be All-SEC, All-American, and have a chance to win the Heisman Trophy?
I'm glad they are continuing to not allow him to talk to the press. It seems he's not as polished as some when it comes to consistently saying the "right" things (he's a college kid, I wouldn't expect him to be polished). There's not any real upside to him giving interviews as everything he says is going to be dissected, so nothing should be said.

Everyone knew he would get booed. Not surprising for our fan base, really.
I actually expect him to receiver some cheers on Saturday though.

Don't forget about the Auburn game too.. JJ was booed after fumbling the snap and a couple plays later, throws a beautiful TD pass to Randle. It made me sick being around people participating in that garbage.

Jefferson said he “definitely” heard the boos, but shrugged it off, chalking it up to the emotional fans, which have also given him support in his return. “A lot of my fans that are really my true fans are happy that I’m back, and I received a lot of encouragement,” Jefferson said. “I was standing right next to Miles, and I told him I was going to score the touchdown for the team. Once he gave me the opportunity … I had to do whatever it takes to get into the end zone, and that’s what I did.”
lot of me's, my's and I's in that quote, just saying...
