The cathartic vent rant can be healthy...This board was designed to do just that...hence "Tiger Rant"

It doesn't help.

Nor does positivity.

It's a fricking messageboard.

Ever visit other teams messageboards after an embarrassing loss? Trust me, they are all the same.

You people that blame the fans are really, really dumb.

my day isn't ruined. Once i turned 20 or 21 i stopped letting recruiting bother me.

Im just explaining what is going and why this happened.

Some people just can't understand why people are upset about this 1 game. It wasn't just the fans. Toshiro Davis's DIRECT QUOTE was : "The players at LSU didn't seem to be having fun".

Blaming the fans is just stupid. THese recruits talk to the players daily. Who knows what one of them said to a recruit. Russell Shep was crying after the game, Boone was upset, TBob & his dumbass dad, Will Blackwell, Deangelo Peterson......

And people want to blame the fans? Look, this is a message board. Things are going to get over analyzed, positive and negative. It's just the nature of the beast. There are hundreds of thousand posters here.

"How does negativity help?"

I've never seen such a stupid question in my life. Not sure what kind of answers you are expecting. This whole thread in itself is negative. Idiot.

Perhaps on an individual level you would be correct. The question refers to the collective....the fan base as a whole.

How can the negativity help?

All fanbases have at least 1 idiot. You guys arent that bad. Really. We(WVU) have a great fanbase as well, but you can guarantee that we have some dumbazzes. It happens everyhwere. Nice recruiting class too, btw.

The message board gives us a vehicle to console fellow die hard fans in times of despair. Without the negativity, there would be consoling or moving on...it would just be bottled up hate...a very unpleasant thing. Deal with it.

Does the negativity help? It shows the team and staff that we expect excellence and when we don't get it we won't be happy.

Does positivity help? Yea, it reinforces good decisions and hard work. Shows appreciation.

Should a fan base be only positive? frick no. Show me a strictly positive fan base and I'll show you a team that doesn't exist. Because it doesn't. Take a look at one of the winningest franchises in all of sports, the Yankees. Their fan base is increadibly negative yet they seem to be doing just fine.

Not to mention your taking posts from a message board and saying that LSU fan sucks. LSU fan as a whole does not suck, otherwise we wouldn't be the loudest stadium in the country.

I AGREE COMPLETELY, though it wasn't always this way. If i would not love pulling for LSU so much the recent behavior of the fans would have drove me top pull for another team. Its embarrasing!

Find me one person that doesn't get it. Every last one of us (LSU fans) was upset. Some of us (LSU fans) refuse to let go and somehow think it is productive, therapeutic, etc.

I'll tell you this much, those sad bastards have really helped me reevaluate my fandom and I just don't care that much anymore. It's not worth being miserable every time something doesn't go exactly as I wished.

The issue isn't the players, the issue is the decisions, or lack thereof, starting with Miles. From the beginning, I was a Miles fan, excusing his mistakes and defending him but no more. His behavior and attitude in the NC game did it for me. LSU had a ton of talent and it was constantly underused. Players are opting out much earlier than normal and one only need to look at our recruiting ranking this year to see that it's not the players, it's the behavior of Miles during the past few years.

Why dont you just become a fan of another team.....you sure as hell arent doing anybody any favors being here.

Several times you say this thread is stupid but since its so stupid why not just answer the question.

HOW DOES THE NEGATIVITY OF THIS FANBASE AS A WHOLE HELP?

Perhaps its not this thread that is stupid......................
