Manufactured stat to deny the rightful batting average crown holders their title. Give Bouman and Strall their due, son!

The pitching staff is way better at batting than pitching.

After starting the season off slow, Chinea has really been on a tear. I knew he would eventually find the soft spots in the defense. He always pounds the ball, at the start of the season it would just go straight at a fielder.

I remember he didn't have any home runs at all for a while, then he had an inside-the-parker. Now he's the team leader, nice turnaround.

I never understood why he wasn't hitting home runs early. He's got the most power IMO.

It was probably more mental than anything. I think Chinea's first HR was against Kentucky, on the play where the ball rolled up to the wall and the UK outfielder gave up on it. That broke the slump and he's been on a tear since then.

Imagine his numbers if he was crushing the balls against the cupcakes too.

Chinea has been smoking the ball lately. We are scoring runs throughout the lineup. Not just the top of the lineup, but 1-9 are a threat to score.

When you look at that list of hitters and realize they're all leaving after this season, it makes you want to

I remember arguing Chinea being in the lineup. Amazing how things can change so fast in baseball and how you can eat your words

In today's game, this is really impressive IMO. It's a testament to just how good of a hitter Bregman is.
