With that said, ever since 2011 we've had nothing but let down after let down.

This just goes to show the entitlement of lsu fans. We finished with a top 15 ranking in 2012&2013. In no way is that a let down.

Les has been a great ambassador for LSU and the state. He's a class act. You'll hear LSU fans and other fans all over make fun of him but you rarely, if ever, hear them say a negative word about him as a person.

He was frustrating as hell. He was a total idiot at times, but he was our idiot. I'm gonna miss the hell out of Les. The hat. The clap. The sly grin.

I think as fondly as we look back on Mac's tenure, we'll look back on Les' even more.

Best ambassador you could ever dream of for your school. It has been a pleasure. It is tough to imagine LSU without Les Miles. I'm going to miss Les and I wish it wouldn't have gone down like this. He deserves better. I hope we will not regret this but I have a feeling we will.

Les

Well stated & I agree 100%

Great coach, great man, great role model. I think he's had a net positive effect on the university and each Tiger he's coached. We have lots of great memories to remember him by in years to come. I truly feel that in a few years well regard him in the same way we do Diezal and Cholly Mac. He'll be beloved for a long time.

With that said, I feel the time is now. Both for his legacies sake and the program.

He will go down as one of the greatest coaches, if not the greatest coach, in LSU history.

He will always be remembered for bringing a championship to Louisiana when Louisiana needed it most.

To Les
Dude you are a legend. You have no idea how the legend will grow with time. The hester 4th downs. The fake field goals, the grass. The mad hat. The wins! The good will be remebered and grow, the bad will be forgotten. Not bad for a verbaly challenged truck driver. Only in AMERICA.

In one of my favorite movie's Gladiator, after the battle the heroic gladiator asked the massive audience in the Roman coliseum if they were all entertained. Well, Les Miles could easily ask the same question to America's massive college football audience, and I'd wager everyone of them would salute him with a huge thumbs up. Elvis has left the building.
