Listening to the Les Miles show and they just stated this. They also said it was the 2nd longest current streak. Who has the longest streak?

The seemingly obvious answer would be Alabama. Unless they somehow fell out of the top 25 when they lost 3 in 2010, they definitely were never out any other year since 2008. If the 83 weeks counts back to 2007, then I'm not sure.

Alabama. Since the start of the 2008 season I believe.

We had a longer streak snapped iirc when we went unranked. We were only unranked for a short period, if it could have been avoided, we'd be close to 200.

That's right, we were unranked for the last 2 games of the 2008 season, snapping our longest streak of 94 weeks that went back to the start of 2003.

If not for 2008, we'd be blowing everyone else's streak out of the water.

Nebraska most all time with 348 strait weeks in the top 25 from (1981-2002)
Miami with 55 strait weeks in the Top 5 from (2000-2003)
And USC with 33 strait weeks at number 1 from(2003-2005

It's so easy to "maintain" aint it.
I mean when the list of 25 has several 1 and 2's in it and very few 83+ers Im just well .. at a loss, I guess.
Who do we give credit to for 83 and counting?

Bama has been in the top 10 every week since the last poll of 2010

LSU is in the middle of the 33rd longest streak of all-time.
LSU missed two weeks at the end of 2008, or else they would have an active streak of 177 weeks, good enough for 4th place all-time.
