8-16 and 150ish actually makes it a close game IMO. Could go either way.

If our defense can't control Bama's offense, it's all a moot point.

Bama is having trouble against the run. Tenn. Had more rushing yards against bama than they did against Ole miss florida and oklahoma, COMBINED.

This is not the point made in the OP. And now that we have a playoff is it still a MNC?

Ole Miss handled Bama fairly easily. We beat Ole Miss. I know the transitive property doesn't always apply, but we're not making a big step up in competition this week. Bama has problems on offense and defense. I expect we'll move the ball better on them than we did on Ole Miss. You people need to get Saban out of his permanent residence in your heads.

It's the classic Rant formula. Take a great win that reenergizes the LSU football program, say a win at home against a historic rival that is ranked number three in the country. Then seize upon the weakest part of that game. Then fearfully project a worst case scenario in a very solemn tone.

The correct name for this Rantard is:

The "Short View" Rantard
: This guy's frame of reference is limited to the last game.

So you don't think Les would like to have/is planning on having, a more balanced attack?

. We will not be able to rush on them like ole miss. Anyone that says otherwise should see the last three games we played against saban.

good god...do you even try, or is it just your nature to be as negative as possible?

If you had tried just a little, you would see that while Tenn netted zero yards rushing against Ole Miss.....they were able to run for 180 against Alabama......but hey, I'm pretty sure we don't have the OL or rb's that Tenn has, so that is probably not realistic to think they can do that to Bama....also, Tenn has a strong running game.

I swear, this is a great collection of the sorriest posters on this site.....between duke, moreorles, and you....wow. I would say though that at least 2 out of you 3 aren't real LSU fans...just weirdos that get your kicks off of posing as negative LSU fans.

after going 92 yards with 12 straight run plays, Ole Miss looked pretty surprised by the play action pass to the TE for a TD.

Im sure you weren't however, you probably even called it, since you know Miles so well.

I called it. Told my son that a fake and roll-out/pass would be a great play. I don't get many right but I got this one. Ta-da!

Just being realistic. I hope you are right. If we keep it close like arkansas and get lucky on turnovers then i like our chances

The more Les wins, the angrier they get. Because they have been here for ten years saying "Miles the Moron can't win doing x, y, z" and he proves them wrong again and again. But rather than think, hm, maybe you can win with below average QB play, or two tight end sets, or whatever the idee fixe of the week is, they just double down on their (objectively incorrect) opinions and get angrier and angrier because reality is not conforming with their preconceptions.

I think we'll run on them all night until they over commit to stop the run. If we can pass well enough to keep them honest and not make stupid TO's we'll score some points.

Anytime you can hold an opponent to 7 points, you should win. If LSU can hold their next 4 opponents (including bowl game) to 7 points each, doesn't matter what the QB does.

I don't see that happening though.
