5 Positives and 5 Negatives

Positives:
1. Greedy, White, and Delpit are future first rounders. These kids are play makers on the defensive side of the ball and will be major contributors at the next level.
2. Joe Burrow has the heart of a champion. You can question his talent and/or decision making, but that kid is all heart.
3. Cole Tracy is a NFL kicker. Kid is money.
4. Justin Jefferson is an absolute freak (besides that one time). He’s by far our most talented WR and he’s just a sophomore.
5. Our analysts do a fantastic job scripting the first drives of each half of games. Which directly ties to the...
Negatives:
1. It’s obvious that SE is just not good at in game play calling. It appears that we take our foot off the gas for one reason, the first few drives are scripted. After that, we are relying on SE’s play calling and it is piss poor.
2. Our OLine is horrible. Anytime you give up 5 sacks, anything you’ve done to that point is irrelevant. That was a terrible outing.
3. We struggle to convert on 3rd down. Now, this ties back to play calling and putting your team in a position to move the chains. Run, run, oh shite it’s third down PASS! Does NOT work in today’s game.
4. Our DLine gets gassed quicker than the rest of the defense. As the game progresses, the big heavies in the middle get fatigued before the rest. This puts extra pressure on the LBs to make plays.
5. Nothing has changed. We fired the winningest coach in program history to progress and get better. I see absolutely nothing to point to that indicates a change in direction. Only difference is we don’t have a super star RB to lean on.

We don’t have the depth everyone kept saying we had on DL
The drop off from Lawrence is so great we don’t rotate him anywhere near as much as he needs it.

Justin Jefferson is a Sophomore.

Well it's not getting much better. You moved guys from this frosh haul to the oline. Need to land the studs this cycle.
I thought the front seven would be much improved, we do have injuries. But we are missing the srs more then people thought.

I agree with most.
Do you think #2 has a direct result from #3?
Just a thought.zzzz
But as far as O goes I just don’t buy that.
Y’all seem to forget the mismanagement of games that plagued les miles.... his entire career.
Clock managnent and qb management were biggest two complaints.
Fortunately for him he had more talent on his teams than O has has SO FAR... I do believe O can and will recruit to the level Les did.
I’m not letting one loss to Florida on road trigger me enough to throw in towel.
Y’all shouldn’t either.
We lost to MSU last year and he rallied the team to finish 2nd half of season strong. .. let’s see if same happens this year.
I choose to believe it will.
Call me cherriO if you want, it’s better than being a miserable garbage fan that infests this board.

You made some great points. I would say that White needs to seriously work on his tackling and not overrunning plays. He makes good reads and has the athleticism, but needs to finish the play with good form. Not sure if NFL will see that as a major deficiency that would knock him out of the first round though.

No. Reason being, if you know you have a weak line, you don’t call plays that require your line to hold their blocks. IE, you try to get chunks on 1st and 2nd down instead of short yardage plays that put you in obvious passing downs.

Did you believe we had a weak Oline before game?
Especially since we were as healthy as we’d been since Miami....
77 got abused... zdidnt see that coming.

The Oline, conditioning and dropped passes are the biggest problems with this team

I thought we had a weak OLine coming in to the season to be completely honest.
I felt like our first true test was going to be Auburn and they did well in that game. I think we’re learning now the Auburn is not who we thought they were.

I’d also put the turnovers as a negative. It’s clearly been a point of emphasis and we had done a great job in that aspect prior to yesterday. Can’t turn the ball over, especially on the road in the SEC, and expect to win. Even more so when it directly takes points away from you or gives points to the opponent.
If not for the TOs, Florida has at least 7 less points and LSU has at least 3 more. 22-20 or better LSU win.

Who is the guy that's been recruiting that position for about the last 3 years or so? Hmmm?

100 percent correct and let me add one to negatives.
6. We just played one of the weakest offensive lines we will see the rest of the year (Rice and maybe Arkansas are worst) and got zero sacks, no pressure and gave up 200 yards rushing.
