Did the defense lose the lead against all odds? Yes
At this point it's just semantics.

It's kind of important here.
So all of us knowing how many 7OT games there's been in college football is important concerning the discussion of LSU losing the one they played in?
How the frick does the other 4 7OT games factor into the one that we played a month ago?
It doesn't matter if there's been 5 or 50 of those kind of games. The only one that fricking matters is the one that A&M and LSU played last November.

If OT was so easy, you'd think most would go longer than 2-3 OTs eh?
What the frick does any other schools OT games have to do with the LSU A&M OT game? Jesus jumped up and down.
I know you're not that stupid Roger, but I got to say your post is really really stupid.
You should stop with the "how many 7OT games have been played" and go back to debating about who and how the game was lost.

It's not even remotely the same thing. It's saying that the defense failed to hole aTm on ONE drive. You've been saying the defense is out fault for the outcome of the ENTIRE game. That's completely different.

Only if you can't comprehend the difference in failing to win the game and losing.
LSU failed to win in OTs 1-6. They lost in OT 7. This is basic logic.

You can narrow it down to two plays that the outcome hinged upon.

the Muffed punt and the missed FG?
Gaining 0 yards on 2nd down with th ball under 2 minutes?
The missed 2 pt conversion?
Or does it seem like more than 2 plays changes this game.
Idk

You can and you can also go back through the other 59 minutes and find other times the offense didn't get a first down or dropped a pass, missed a block or an errant throw. What if each punt went 5 more yards? It's a team game.

Absolutely wrong. The defense could not have won the game on the final drive, we had the lead.
Posted on 12/27/18 at 4:43 pm to RogerTheShrubber
We also had 59 minutes of game time before that to have had a bigger lead.

I agree. However it hinged on the final drive

Wait, so the defense can't win the game, they can only lose it?
Jesus Christ.....

Simple minds will agree with you.

I'm having a flashback. I'm pretty sure Roger is the one who claimed anyone could be as good a pitcher as Greg Maddux. All it would take I'd practice.
Honestly, that clears a lot of this up

No. No you can’t.

I do agree with Roger that given the way that the 2nd half had gone, it looked highly unlikely that Mond was gonna be able to score. LSU had completely shut them down the entire 2nd half. I never thought in a million years that aTm would have gotten into the endzone
Except it just happened last year, in the ND game. That was also a game in which the head coach, who I'm sure has LSU's best interests at heart, made what we'll call a risk-averse decision, which ended up costing us.
