Bruh...
You literally posted that the defense couldn't win the game on the final drive.
You haven't even edited the fricking post. Are you serious right now?

ND game was different IMO because ND had just driven the length of the field on the previous drive with ease. In this game the opposing offense was completely shut down for the 2nd half.

In that situation. We had a touchdown lead
There are thousands of others

That was also the game in which the head coach, who I'm sure has LSU's best interests at heart, made what we'll call a risk-averse decision,
Playing it safe these days Goldrush?

As I recall, a TD there would've made it only possible to tie. If we didn't get the TD it would've backed ND up at their 1, decreasing the likelihood that they'd pass on the drive.
Don't you think the best time to protect the defense would be at the end of the game? Why are these types of decisions being made that potentially expose the defense?

In your opinion, the defense getting a stop isn't them winning the game?
So, the defense can't win the game, only lose it? Like I quoted you saying?
Got it. I'm glad we were able to clarify another of your insanely ridiculous statements.

In the ND game at the one yard line I thought he definitely should have gone for the TD.

The problem is we’re we are more than happy to play safe and just trust the defense to win the game, and that’s my biggest issue with this team
We almost never win the game on offense.
Even the Auburn Game:
The offense scored 10 in the last few minutes but we still needed the defense to keep them scoreless for the last 25 minutes of the game to have a chance.
Defense gives us the ball inside the 25 and then they held them scoreless for the last 25 minut

the defense getting a stop isn't them winning the game?
When you're winning by 7 points? Hell no.
It would be preserving the win.

Then couldn't it be argued that the decision to not go for the TD was even more egregious in that spot?
Point is these are decisions that are not optimal for a tired defense at the end of a game. Don't we need to protect them more in those spots, not say the entire game rests on this last drive?

So the defense not getting the stop isn't them losing the game like you've claimed?
Interesting

If you're asking about the ND game, then yes absolutely. I've always said that was chicken shite in an exhibition game.

I still think the muffed punt was the turning point of the game. We had them on the ropes prior to that screw up.

You're proving my point for me.
When are those types of plays more likely to happen vs a defense like LSU, in the first quarter or the end of the 4th?
So why aren't steps being taken to protect a defense that may be slowing down? Don't you want to protect those guys?
The defense keeps us in the game for 3 quarters. The offense can't step up and carry the team for the last 5 minutes? That's not too much to ask.

There's only 1 person ITT saying the defense lost the game because of one drive where aTm didnt even take the lead.
Your entire stance is aTm tying the game = LSU's defense lost it. Stop and think about that for a second, then go sit in the corner again.
