How did a thread about signing a great recruit for 2020 turn into a debate on Aranda vs Ensminger?
Goldrush, as usual, thinks he has to jump in every football thread to lecture all of us.

Someone said never doubt O
Then someone said long way to go
Then someone said “he just signed the #4 class and you’re still doubting him”
Then Goldrush said we know he can recruit when are we going to start asking dornon the field results?
Then someone called everyone who ahitnon Ensminger hypocrite for not holding Aranda accountable for failing to live up to expectations and here we are.
Summary
Topwater Troutnis still beating the drum to compare a top 25 defense to a dumpster fire offense in the realm of not living up to expectations
Tiger Ree thinks that Ensminger is responsible for The Defense being good so we should stop shitting on him about the offense.
Spot on.
It was all started with the "never doubt" crap. What an ignorant way to go about life, never doubting. We doubt when doubt is appropriate.
When the head football coach, a man we all know has LSU's best interests at heart, recruits the lights out but doesn't necessarily have commensurate results, then we have to ask questions. If we don't then we're being bad LSU fans IMO. The program comes first, not any individual that happens to be occupying a certain job.

Yeah. You never really know about a lot of those posted 40 times. What do they really mean, and how accurate are they?
We’ll just have to wait and see how he does covering one of those 4.3 guys
4.6 seems a little slow for a CB but his highlights look anything but slow. I remember Jalen Mills running something like a 4.5. I don't think it ever hurt him. He played mostly safety if I remember right.
Watch his highlight video it's amazing.

I just think it's interesting that I'm supposed to be this big hater of the head football coach, yet I'm the one imploring the most from him.
Why do I expect more from him than the fans that say they believe in him?
The guy signs a highly rated recruit and you treat him like he's a cat that learned how to use the toilet.

I agree with a lot of what you're say in, but I don't see anything wrong with acknowledging that the coaches did a fantastic job with the class. I think most fans agree that it needs to start translating into 10 win regular win seasons. 2019 is going to be an important season to Orgeron's future at LSU IMO. I know I've seen ben say on several occasions that the offense must improve this season. One would think that would lead to another win or two.

That's also true. I'm still under this delusion that one day we will all be able to talk about sports without having LSU fans attacking other LSU fans and IMO avoiding the wording I mentioned is a good start
I should do a better job in this department. It's my wish that we could have a legitimate and truthful conversation about the offenses shortcomings. Be truthful about areas that have to show improvement for the offense to improve but for some reason it's an impossibility. I feel like the other side of the discussion will bend over backwards to avoid acknowledging that the offensive line has to improve drastically for any scheme to work to satisfaction. I've held Steve's feet to the fire when I thought it was warranted. I was livid after the bama game. Adjustments were late coming in because there were no adjustments. The gameplan was a shitshow.
LSU has to get better at the line of scrimmage.

Who exactly has denied that we have to improve on the offensive line?

I think we can all improve, buddy. Like most things in life, the truth is probably somewhere in the middle. The OL needs to improve as does the overall scheme. I don't believe that only saying one of those things means you're completely excusing the other. The OL probably wasn't high caliber and the scheme probably wasn't either. Hopefully we see improvement in both areas and have a special season next year.

Absolutely not.

Positivity is fine, and if you want to say you’re positive just for the sake of being positive that’s fine.
But some of y’all are defending your positivity like anyone who doubts it is a moron.

Using a thread about a 5* commit to complain about the defensive performance is positive?
Interesting.

Did I say you had? You're bitching about one set of posters.
They aren't the one's using the thread about a 5* commit to complain about the defense. Just FYI.

It was a qualifying statement, it’s the part of being positive that’s making you a dickhead
That and the idea that anyone wanting to score points is silly.
