We should/will concentrate on stopping the run and play strictly man to man on the back end. TL is not good enough consistently to make the throws to beat teams. His legs and Etienne are more of a worry. You sell out to stop the run they can not score enough.

Their D is good when they are allowed to sub. They will not be allowed to against us. The "great scheming" Venables does is not with one unit. Good luck trying to adjust on the fly when you havent done that all year long. It will be a long day for their defense.

Both their inside linebackers Skalski and the other guy are good against the run, good tacklers, but if they have to split out and cover JJ, Moss or CEH in the slot...

It gets a bit boring once he’s shot off all the fireworks in his trailer park and there’s no hurricanes for him to guess wrong on.

OSU is a run first offense, passes are off the run. Hell yes Clemson would be run first Defense. But look what happened when Dobbins was hobbled.

Burrow changes everything. Justin Fields is good. Joe Burrow is generational.

I’m really not sure how good Fields is to be honest. He puts up numbers but every time I watch him I’m left wanting more.

Only because you had Burrow this year.

If we had Harris, Jennings and the gang you’d be begging for Fields. Without Burrow, he may have won the Heisman!

OSU LB's play was atrocious. Their tackling was bad as well.

yep. that option for a TD was wrapped up and shoulda never happened. at least 3 guys missed tackles. we won't make that mistake. LB's were torched on screen etienne took to the house and on jump pass for a TD later in game.

because many here played? and are coaches? and like to learn? and be football educated and literate? and not football ignorant like so many here choose to do? I praise every single poster here who watches games and does film study or who makes breakdown videos and put in an honest effort. The game is much more fun when you understand all the intricacies of football.

E was not good at adjusting last year at all.

This. Last year's offense was fairly pedestrian and not at all dynamic. Things changed when Brady came on board. Not saying that Ensminger has nothing at all to do with how well the offense is performing, but without Brady, we wouldn't be where we are today.

Good stuff; like seeing this kind of detail. I expect Joe & co. will make Venables pay big-time for blitzing.

Our RPO and option-routes in the passing game should serve LSU well in this one. If Clemson does something unexpected, we have the ability to adjust mid-play and take advantage. An nobody is better at doing that than Burreaux.

I completely agree. This is an area of LSU's offense that is being completely overlooked. Justin Jefferson runs the option route as good as anyone in football.

LSU has been torched by worse players this year. It happens in games where every single play is magnified

Yup, but have you watched our last three games? Our D has been playing its best football of the season, by far.
