To call a pass to the flat that was incomplete instead of running the ball for the first down is when the route was on. LSU has not allowed a TFL all year. Diggs was getting 3 or 4 yard gain running the ball. You could see it on CBKs face right after that play. That was a stupid call that has been called all year long. After we missed that play and Bama took over it seems like it all changed after that play. The staff has issues, especially House needs to be let go. I hate it for the players.

It was an absolutely awful play call but we did recover, had the game tied into half and had a lead first drive of the second half

My buddy and I both called it. It was the obvious play call, if we knew Saban knew.

Roll out pass is this staff’s go to play call. I personally don’t like it because it limits JD’s options and prevents him from having any chance to run the ball.

Agree 100 percent. By formation LSU has Bama spread out. We could have easily gashed them for a whole yard, or run a QB keeper to the wide side with Diggs as a lead blocker.

Just absolute stupidity to throw a 30 yard pass sideways to gain 1 yard. We're lucky it didn't end up as a pick 6.

I don't think they planned for it to be incomplete..

I didn’t like the play call either but it was not exactly a turning point in the game. We ended up going up by a TD in the 3rd quarter.

That holding call then dropped pass was the turning point.

Even if it had worked it was the wrong call. Diggs had yet to be stopped for no gain on a run.

Defensively, Milroe kept taking a few deep shots and our staff was so worried about them completing some, they forgot all about containment. BTW, I'm completely tired and done with this "experiment" of how they're using Perkins.

Can you make a thread like this for each one of their 9 converted (out of 11) 3rd Down attempts please

Same as the fsu game. Came out and passed on 4th down, passed first few downs at goal line, and refused to get under center and run qb sneak. Same dumb shite

The turning point in the game was when Matt House walked into the coaching booth at Bryant-Denny.

They more than recovered from this dumb play call, but I do expect common sense play calls from Kelly and his staff and it was just a really dumb call considering how we were running the ball at that point (and we have one of the best running QB's I've ever seen). We needed 1 yard.

My favorite is our tendency to line up in the shotgun on 4th or 3rd and less than one. Let's turn that fourth and one into a fourth and six. Where are the analytics guys when we have run this same play from the shotgun up the middle for a decade with terrible results. Isn't there someone charting this stuff in 2023?

So yeah I was aggravated before the pass in the flat was even attempted by lining up in the gun on 4th and short.

It was when you remember lsu needed to score on every possession to win

It would have been the right call to run Diggs behind Dellinger
That pass to Taylor in the flat worked last year but wasn’t going to work again! Also it wasn’t a well thrown ball by Daniels
