I don't care about the guys and gals trying to make extra money b/c I'd do the same, but the fees collected by Ticketmaster, StubHub and these other sites are fricking criminal. The fees were over half the cost of tickets when their operating cost is no different.

Tickets are down to 850.00. Time to buy

As of Jan 8th tickets are going no less than 900 thank the Louisiana Legislature for this problem. The law on scalping was changed years ago to allow scalping online however it is still illegal to scalped at the stadium. So, all these big donors to the TAF and Legislators etc can f*** over season ticket holders like me that didn't get a ticket. I will not watch the game and I will be scalping my season tickets next year online, my days of LSU football are over.

I think these will be extremely difficult tickets to get at face.
I know a bunch of Clemson people with flights and hotels no tickets trying to wait it out.
2017 in Tampa vs Bama tickets actually got much more expensive the day of the game. Had buddies with $1000 cash in their pocket and couldn’t get a ticket. With this being in a home city for y’all I’d expect the same to happen.

Brokers or people who have an in with corporate tickets are most likely selling.

Who are you to tell people what they can sell there tickets for?

I really think you'll see a lot of that come Monday for this game.

I don't have any tickets for sale but who are you to tell someone that they should sell for less than market value just to help out some LSU fans on a budget
You're a fking tool and what is wrong with our fan base right now.

There is no way you are going to refrain from watching LSUs bid for an undefeated NC. Not if you are the fan you claim to be. It's impossible.

I paid $2k/seat. Do I wish it was less? Of course. Am I angry about it? Nope. I won't be angry if the price plummets, nor will I gloat if it skyrockets. I'm simply not missing this game, and I wish nobody else had to miss it.
Same here

There's a pair of aisle seats on the ticket exchange right now for $950 per. It's only gonna get cheaper.
I wonder if having a local team in it keeps the prices higher than they'd be otherwise. There will be a larger number of last minute decisions since travel is not a concern for many folks.

Y'all realize those are sitting because people don't give a frick if they sell, right? If some yahoo wants to spend $3000 a pop for tickets in the nosebleed corners, then the person with the tickets will sell them. Otherwise, the person with the tickets is going to the game.

I made an impulsive buy from MB Stadium in Atlanta at half time of the Peach Bowl and grossly overpaid for two tickets in (literally) the last row of the Dome. I'm not happy about it, especially the $800 in fees I paid to stubhub, but I can't exactly regret it either. I'm going to see LSU play for an undefeated NC.

Stubhub is hurting buyers and sellers right now with their inflated fees at over 30% for the buyer. Stubhub has been hovering around 4000 seats the past two days with the average get in price dropping 75 dollars. I am not so much waiting on dramatic price drop for the sellers right now but Stubhub dropping their fees back to a normal level.

So you won't watch the team you love because of legislators and scalping? What you love hasn't changed. It's all the outside stuff you don't like. No one would be guaranteed a ticket even if there was no scalping. It's ok to watch the game and cheer for your team even if you aren't able to attend.

Do the universities get a piece of the resale?
The NFL got involved in the ticket exchange website and they “guarantee” the tickets are legit and then get a taste of the resale profit.
So they make money on the original and after market sale. That’s pretty sweet — for them. And pretty much insures that scalping online will never be outlawed — only expanded.

If you have had season tickets for 10 years and donated an extra $100 a year more than likely you would have been within the cutoff. The notion that the People that got tickets through LSU are all big money donors is laughable. Take your ball and go home.
