per my photo, this includes either the '80-'81 or '81-'82 team (my dad is in the photo and it's why I use it)

Update:
Photo is after winning a series in '82 against Moo State. LSU was a top 25 team at that time.

He was an interesting recruiter. While recruiting Frankie Cazeaux, Rummel pitcher and State Championship winning Coach at Rummel, he got to the Cazeaux house and ignored Frankie, just wanted to talk to his Dad. Gave Frankie a $10 bill and told him to go buy a six pack of beer for Lamabe and his Dad.

Frankie signed and stayed one year before transferring. Apparently Lamabe sitting in the dugout with chew spit all down the front of his jersey was just too much to take, lol.

Morris "Mash" Bonadona

He was the first person I met on my first day of classes at LSU.

Masher was a great guy. I always thought of him when I watched the movie "Rudy". He loved LSU. I was in a group chat with him for years and got a text the morning after he died. It happened to be the day of the Alabama-LSU game. I'm pretty sure his wife and sons still went to the game like he would have wanted. I'm sure Masher was working with the football Gods for us that night.
