legally the time spent in the hospital is immaterial. You really need to stop making yourself look stupid on this point.

i have no horse in this race but i have a friend who was in a car accident. he broke a couple vertebrae in his neck and he stayed 1 hour 20 min in the hospital then was released to go home.

I just want to know what started the fight as I have a hard time believing the football players just started randomly beating up some guys.
If only JJ could remember one simple rule: Bro's before Ho's.

yes they do, and have that right.
Either way, it doesn't change the definition for legal purposes, sorry.

So just so that I am 100% sure. This witness and what is being released was part of the *initial* police report filed *last* week. So in *reality* this really isn't new news. Rosetta has been trying to get his hands on the police report but they won't release it. Why only release part of the police report if you won't release all of it.

If they are arrested, yes. Precedence has already been set when Miles kicked Kyle Anderson off the team a couple of years ago

Actually, it's a pretty good indicator (usually) of how serious the damage was. Combine that with the police calling the injuries minor.. voila, a completely logical conclusion. He got beat up. From the information I have seen (just about everything available on the internet) he won't be convicted of 2nd degree battery.
Are broken fingers considered 2nd degree battery level? What about a cracked rib?

Bc the "victims" suffered minor injuries.

we'll try this one last time.
regardless of your opinion, the length of hospital stay, etc.
The definition for a "major injury" under the law has been met and the police are following through.
Sorry, that's the facts.

Obviously you have never had any vertebrae issues. He could suffer from that for the rest of his life. Trust me. Just a vertebrae applying a little pressure to your sciatic nerve can make you cry like a baby.

So did the football players actually start swinging first or did they just end it?

Yes. Problem is, and here's a little "inside info" if you will, this 3rd part witness was a female athletic trainer that was there with Lowery's friends.

What's also true is that he wasn't even a patient overnight. Hard to say that an hour visit to the hospital is serious
A gunshot wound that glances a shoulder muscle may not be serious either. But, the act of firing a weapon is serious.
If the accusations are true, JJ was kicking stomping a guy on the ground to the point where 3 vertebrae were fractured. That's enough for a 2nd degree charge. That's enough for a serious suspension.
The victim and JJ are fortunate that it didn't turn out worse.

I know a few people who had cracked vertebrae. It's generally not serious.

I think u view yourself as intelligent but I think your glasses might need cleaning.
I had multiple vertebra injuries and have had them for 14 years. I play basketball every week, do manual labor lifting everything from 50 pound bags of feed to 100 pound railroad ties. I drive a bumpy arse jeep through the woods and over rocks and all sorts of terrain.
I'm clearly fricked for life. :
If he was discharged 2 hours later like I'm hearing, u can bet that it's nothing major. If they even SUSPECT spine damage, they keep u overnight for observation.

Ok -- so now it's clear who the overly biased people on this board are. Continue to fight -- continue to lose your credibility.
