3rd down and 3rd + long against Top Opponents (some stats)

SEC + FSU converted 60 of 124 3rd down attempts (avg per game: 6.67 out of 13.77) - Worth noting of the 64 stops on 3rd down in those games... 12 of them went on to be 4th down conversions good for a 1st. (so 52 stops in 9 games, or ~6 stops per game)
Also, THE DAGGER, 15 times this year we had those opponents in 3rd and 10+ situations but they converted resulting in 13 TDs and 1 FG.
The 2023 NCAA average 3rd down conversion (counting all 133 teams in only FBS schools vs FBS school games) is 38.9%
2023 LSU offense was converting 3rd downs this year at 53.27% (only Georgia was better).
We all saw it, but even statistically, this years defense made all other offenses look like they were on caliber with the LSU offense (featuring a heisman qb, a biletnikoff winner, a biletnikoff finalist, a seasoned o-line, and 4 to 5 deep rb bench).
To me, coaches have to help this. You can't just say we don't have all the players to execute the scheme. Good for you to recognize that, then make the adjustments and find something that works. Almost 50% conversion, bad angles, missed tackles - that is coachable.
