Yeah, we're a better overall team this year.

If you do, then you'll defend him regardless of performance

He did not have a great game but he did not get much help either.

Yeah, the run blocking was bad.

The drops were bad as well.

You don't bench Lee for one poor performance. I'm not suggesting that.

OK, an improvement over what we saw last year

rarely hits them in stride

The other guy never does

I haven't seen any divots created this year

We went how many games straight without a TD last year? Where was your "expert" detailed analysis then?

No, in fact the whole offense looked out of sync, including JL. What changed during the week?

If you work hard enough, you can pick out stats to support your agenda, whatever it is.

that may criticism may have been a touch harsh

Finally, an admission, even though you still felt the need to qualify it. Will say, you put more effort into your justification for JJ than the rest-at least you haven't played the race card.

lee was off on some throws

but his WR's certainly didn't help him out for the most part

7 drops in the first half, and 2 more in the 2nd half.

Well, we've only had 3 turnovers through 5 games this year. We had 7 INTs and about 5 fumbles through the first 5 games last year. Gee. The offense must be no different.

Crowton was causing all those turnovers-haven't you been paying attention?

Very true

Very little running game until late in the game and at least 7 drops. All in all it was not a good game for the offense. Luckily it happened against Kentucky.

6 damn yards difference in yards per game. After 5 games and our toughest Ds coming, versus last years whole season.

Why is anyone knighting for anything.

It seems the best we got is pretty damn mediocre.

you can't argue with people like that....just let it go doc. They just really don't get it at all. We are a top 20 scoring offense...averaging 15 more points a game than last year....if they don't understand that, then you know what their last name is....everything is improved this year....3rd down efficiency.....passing efficiency....scoring...time of possession...I mean...bottom line is we are scoring 2 tds more a game this year.....

as for the argument the tough defenses are coming up.....really? Alabama has one...but you don't think we put up 30+ against Florida? Ole Miss? WK? Ark? Auburn? it is possible our ppg goes up, depending on how we do against bama. Arky is horrible on D...WK is horrible...ole miss is horrible.....Auburn is not that good on D....tenn is unproven...but not that good....florida will get wore down.....Oregon has a good D....WV has a good D....State has a good D....pretty soon their arguments will run out....then it will be...heck I don't know what it will be.....I guess it will be "we COULD" have done better with blah blah..i don't know.

Yeah, our offensive production went up to end the year. I don't count the bowl game, because we had over a month to plan that game.

JJ's best game was against Ole Piss for Christ's sake. They were the worst team in the SEC last year and likely are this year. Take out the 43 against them and the 51 against ULM, and let's see how good our offense was. Through 5 games, we've had 1 game under 35 points.

Last year LSU's highest output in the first 5 was 30.

2 fricking tds.

WOW

I would like to see the 3rd down conversion stat. I bet it's pretty one sided also.

actually it's over 14 points a game....and when you compare the first five games last year to the first five this year.....3rd down conversion is significantly better...but bottom line is the #1 stat is 2 tds more a game...with this defense...that is why they are winning by about 4 touchdown average each game.

You could have done the same thing from 2008 to 2009 FWIW.

Give it up, man ... you'll never convince a fool that can't see the forest for the trees.

FACTS:

1. LSU is scoring 38 ppg, same as in 2007

2. LSU is performing SO FAR ABOVE 2007 YEAR STATS on D, ... WE ARE OFF THE CHARTS ALLOWING 6 PPG IN SEC and INCREDIBLY FEW POINTS against other ranked opps ... IT's helping the 38 PPG ... SO WHAT ... WHO CARES ... IT'S ENOUGH TO WIN EM ALL AND GEAUX 14 - 0

3. LSU has improved in every game this year, (KY game played with 3rd string RB in a fierce 20 mph NE wind that wreaked havoc on passing game, getting everyone's panties in a wad, lol)

4. Lee has a 7:1 TD/Pick Ratio ... Find me better than that ... Miles believes Lee will have an NFL career (I heard him say it)

5. We're starting two freshman WRs, one likely to be an All-American in a year or two, ALL-SEC 4 sure

6. We score 38 PPG in 2011 (2007 was 38.6 with 435 ypg total offense) ... Because our Defense & ST are off the charts

7. Special Teams are gelling ... ST alone give us the win at BAMA in a tight game

... Can you see Bama starting drives like West Virginia at the

3 yard line
3 yard line
5 yard line
6 yard line
8 yard line
11 yard line

Saban knows he's got an azz beating coming, even with an LSU team having only 250 yards offense against him ... relax and enjoy the ride

So true.

So long as Lee continues to improve, as he showed vs. MSU and WVU, this offense will be good enough to win it all.

Another good stat, red zone conversions.

Last year (through August and September):
G Attempts Scores Score % TD TD % FG FG %
4 15 11 73.33 5 33.33 6 40.00

Ranked 100th in ation

This year:
G Attempts Scores Score % TD TD % FG FG %
4 20 19 95.00 16 80 3 15.00

16th in nation.

Their's your point differential. And I think this has as much to do with the play calling as the QB. Maybe more.
