That’s a dumb fricking way to try and measure a QB but since you started the topic

He threw for 345 yards. Joe had 6 games below that in 2019.

Oh yeah and in 2018- Joes first year starting that more than any game he had all year except UCF

It’s also more than Joes first 2 games combined

Maybe do a modicum of research before starting a topic

How about a comparison between Myles first game vs Burrows first game as a Tiger.

What a royal POS the OP is.

Holy eff.

I hate you people so much sometimes.

FIRST start, throws for almost 350, and you bash the kid.

I remember when we would give our left nut for a 350 yard passer in a game, much less their first start.

Only INT his arm was hit. We get that pass off, it is a TD, and we are playing to win the game at the end.

Frick off.

I’ve never seen somebody be so timid and STILL throw 2 INT’s lol

Arm was hit on one, and the other was a Hail Mary. Neither was on the QB, unless you want to say that the first should have been thrown sooner, but we don't know if that was the primary receiver.

He did throw one ball that could have been intercepted but was dropped. Would have been a great catch.

Burrow only threw for 300+ twice his first year starting and it wasnt until the end of the season.

Burrows first game starting he went 11/24 with 140yds passing, we only put up 33 points in that game and won because the defense was stellar.

But lets give Brennan shite because he didnt match Burrows record setting season and only destroyed Burrows first game starting numbers.

Here is the stat line from Joe Burrow's first start
11/24 for 140 yards and 0 TD's, they beat the Hurricanes 33-17. The defense played well and the run game did well.

Brennan, 345 yards 3 TD's and 2 int. The defense was horrid and there was zero running game.

Its not on Brennan.

One his arm was hit on what would have probably been a touchdown had he got it off clean and the other was a desperation throw into the end zone on the last play of the game.

He knows this... he's just a POS.

I really don't understand what people are thinking lol. All this talk about Brennan being here for 3 years and how he looks scared and doesn't have "it" lol. In his first start EVER against an SEC opponent he threw for 345 and 3td's. Did he struggle at time yes but it was his frist start, EVER. In Joe Burrow's first start, against Miami, he was absolutely horrendous and embarrassing. 11-24 140yds 0td's. His entire first season was horrible minus the last 2 games. I think at one point he had 0td passes in like 6 of his first 8 games or some shite lol. But apparently he didn't look scared and had "it".

345 passing yards would have been Burrow's highest regular season yardage in 2018. With Ensminger calling plays. In his first season as a starter.

Some of y'all conveniently forget that Joe started two years at LSU.

Let’s compare apples and apples. In Burrow’s first season he never threw fir 320 yards until the bowl game versus Central Florida.
Now he never attempted 46 passes. His most was 38 against A&M.

I never expected Myles to repeat what Burrow did last year. No one can. Judge Brennan fairly and give him a chance. Let’s watch for immediate improvement and if we don’t see it I’ll be surprised and ready to say we need to go with a freshman.

There’s a lot Brennan needs to clean up. I’ll be watching Saturday to see how he does and pulling for him. We need him to come through.
