Comparing him to Burrow is not fair. But I do know what I saw and he has some issues that are concerning.

Also would've been the 2nd most burrow threw his entire first year and 180 yards more than what he threw in his first game. stop comparing them.

Brennan isn’t Burrow, and he doesn’t have Jets and Chase to throw to. You need to stop using last year as the benchmark. We may/probably will never see another season like that again. He doesn’t have to be Burrow to win games. He does need help from his coordinators/running game and defense to win, however.

Oh I wasn’t aware of the rule so we can compare his 1st game to Burrow’s who had 4 months to learn a new offense and prepare with a brand new team but comparing him to 2019 offense where we’re running the same offense is off limits

Are we though? Myles had a different OC every year and a new passing game coordinator (same job as Brady) this year. You think they’ve been able to practice more than 4 months?

You can compare them all you want, but if you’re expecting 2019 Joe Burrow every year you’re going to be sorely disappointed.

While I saw things that were concerning, I’m more then willing to give the kid more time to adjust. While I understand the “been here for 4 years” argument, he had roughly a month of true preparation time due to Covid. Missing practice reps hurt him the most IMO as the offense just looked clunky at times. The playcalling wasn’t horrible (need to try to hit more runs outside to make the Dive more effective), but Brennan has to be quicker and overall execution just have to improve all around.

True. We'll never see that again. 60 years from now people will be saying, "he ain't no Burrow" for whoever is QB then.

We have to forget about last year's team....that team was maybe once in a lifetime....this is a re-building year.....we won't be too good....but.....we'll be back...our recruiting is too good not to be....

One his arm was hit on what would have probably been a touchdown had he got it off clean and the other was a desperation throw into the end zone on the last play of the game.

Totally changes the game. And would have put him over 400 yards passing.
