I was at that game. A few friends from
TGBFTL and I drove up from BR to tailgate and watch for once instead of playing in the pep band. That’s a LONG drive.
The worst part was losing to UK when they were such a fricking joke. It was their Homecoming and the night of Midnight Madness and every UK fan in our section left to go get seats at Rupp because they couldn’t give less of a frick. One of them told me, “Why stay? There’s no way we’re going to win.” Then the few left trash talked us at the end.
We had a hotel in Nashville the night before, but ended up crashing with the band, sleeping on the floor after the game. Then we had to get up at 7 and drive 14+ hours back to BR. My mom was kind enough to fix a big lunch for us so we could get off the road halfway home and relax for an hour. But other than that, the trip was rough.
My friends couldn’t drive a stick, so I had to drive the whole way, and my Explorer was a base model, so I didn’t have cruise control. I’ve never had a sore ankle from driving before that day.
All in all, it was not the best weekend.

Put stripes on them, and they would be better than the unnecessary white pants.

When we play them on the road, esp. But McClendon used to struggle mightily vs Kentucky, so it's a generational problem
