Compelling argument, right there. Look forward to hearing the rebuttal to that one...

How about the fact it’s wrong?

1962 : 9-1-1
1969 : 9-1
1987: 10-1-1
2003: 13-1
2011 : 13-1

Well according to you there is no better. Except the 4-5 sec teams that have finished higher in the ratings over the last 2 cycles.

This will be axiomatic until we beat those people.

He's not wrong in his general statement that the dudes statements are in conflict.

12-1 would be tied for second best in 50 years would be more accurate.

Still, he's put himself in a corner and can't reconcile the two opposing views.

“ especially the 2018 season”

LSU head 7 players drafted in the 2018 season and had nine free agents. Perhaps not a great showing, but certainly nothing to back up claims about lack of talent.

LSU didn’t lose to Florida in 2016 because of a lack of talent. LSU didn’t lose to Troy or Notre Dame in 2017 because of a lack of talent. LSU didn’t lose to A&M and Florida, again, in 2018 because of a lack of talent.

Laying anything at the doorstep of a coach gone for 35 football games is ridiculous.

They were over-loaded with DB’s and weren’t constructed properly. Also had a lot of WR’s who for numerous reasons couldn’t produce.

And what about Ed's classes? Everyone loves the dbs and rbs he signed. What else? How is this different?

Not one of y'all can answer that question.

Bash Les' recruiting.. praise a guy for signing a top 15 class with guys already wanting to transfer.

Screams rebuilding

Not a fib when you say someone rebuilt the roster.

A tie is scored as half a loss. So, three one-loss seasons in about 56 years.

And just about every game CLM lost wasn’t due to a lack of talent either...you realize that right?

Every coach rebuilds a roster. You're acting weird about it.

I’m not interested in these petty squabbles between you guys

But if LSU goes 11-1 that’s a great season and O would deserve credit for that

Actually it’s scored as a tie

Math is hard

It’s also cherry picked to exclude 1958 : 11-0 and 1961 : 9-1

Any season with 1 loss would be a great season

Squabbles over, Rick ran away.

I just think 11-1 is better than 10-1-1

Comparing apples to apples yes I agree but since they didn’t have overtime in past years i don’t think it’s fair to count it against them. The tie in 1987 was vs Ohio St at home, under the current OT format I think that team would have had a better than 50-50 chance to win

This was Miles only weakness in recruiting. Outside of that he was stellar.
