Where do we find him? There are no dominant defensive programs in the top 25. Even Oklahoma has given up, 45, 35, and 31 points this season. I know experience will be a positive for next year, but the DC position must be filled by someone who is detail oriented, analytical, and a master motivator. There aren't many guys out there that meet that criteria, so it will be vital for Miles to do his research and find someone who can come in next year and make an immediate impact on our defense. It has to be someone in the Crowton mode of creativity and very resourceful. This is why Miles is paid the big bucks!

I'm wondering if Tubbs gets let go. If so, we should be all over the AUBURNT DC.

Paul Rhoads should be at the top of the list.

so that brings the question, if we beat Bama and they roll into Auburn with only one SEC loss, who do we root for?

Rhoads, Tenuta, and Williams should be on a short list, the coach from TCU would be work a look. I am not sure who is in charge with the TCU defense. I like Amato, with the experience as a head coach. He has shown the ability to run an entire program(insert own opinion on successfully or not). I think that experience may have given him the ability to micro manage things and that is what we will need with our defense. It is going to be a tough call but one with careful analysis.

Hey guy, I apologize for being so harsh. I'm just tired of this all is lost mentality. It's only two losses to top ten teams. SEC championship game is not out of the question yet. It's clearly a rebuilding year for us. Better days lie ahead!

From a trusted source , here is the short list of candidates:

1. Bill Cowher
2. Jack Del Rio
3. Marvin Lewis

To make the deal happen, Les will name either one of em co-head coach or assistant to the head coach.

If he is available he will have not shortage of head coach offers to choose from.
