Smoke was also right, it is just baseball. He also happened to not be a very good captain of the ship so he was replaced. Those 2 facts aren’t mutually exclusive.

From our 1, 2 and 3 hitters as well. Milam, Brown and Pearson looked foolish at the plate. It looked like Brown and Pearson were more concerned with trying to hit a home run than with putting the ball in play.

My comment last night is they are so focused on getting the next grand slam, they are swinging poorly. It doesn't take much to drive in a run with the bases loaded and none out...whereas we walked 2 guys with them loaded...and then had an error to allow 2 more runs to score.
Lachenmeier has come in 2 games and promptly hit the batter...and got pulled. Rizy came in, was 0-2 on the batter before hitting him, then walking 2 more batters. You can deal with the triple and the single before those but gifts need to be not given...and when given gifts, take advantage (like everyone else seems to).
Jay is sometimes too quick to pull some pitchers but leaves others in too long.

Pearson was horrible swinging at balls he couldn't touch with a 6ft bat.

This may be the first time it has happened in college baseball in the the last 30 years. Extremely rare phenomenon
