Give it up. It’s getting tired.

The holding call tonight against bama was essentially a 40 yard penalty.

Switch to baked lays.

They hold on every play ! Every one of them has a handful of jersey ! Sometimes they just tackle the D-Linemen and the officials never blink ! Been going on forever. Saban teaches them to hold because he knows they won't get called. If you don't believe me go back and watch in slo mo if you can't
see it in real time.

There is no argument really, Bama has a different Rule Book.

My favorite was late in the game when Bama shoved our player down 4 seconds after the play litterally in two refs faces and they looked at each other and looked away.

I thought this was one of the best called LSU vs Bama games ever.

Their DBs hold on every play too and the refs give them a hard or 2 on nearly every spot. When Key almost took the handoff inside the 5 we dropped the guy on the 1 the hall shouldve been spotted at most on the 2 and it was on the 4 the next play. On that Williams run where he was met then the scrum was pushed forward for 3 more yards they spotted the ball where he was first hit and it turned a 3rd and 2 into a 3rd and 5. We ran a HB swing the next play the WRs missed their blocks and we had to punt instead of having a run situation. The refs were as bad as they usually are tnite.

Freaking tackling our DL and tearing their jerseys from pulling on them - beyond blatant

t's amazing how many time Gary defended Alabama's no calls.

There was a play earlier this year, I believe it was one of our games he called, I think UF.

He had some commentary regarding a block that a player came and clocked and unsuspecting player chasing the ball carrier.it was questionable whether it was a penalty, but was a big hit either way. Danielson made the comments that he believed the rule should be that you should only be able to block in the direction the play was going (toward the end zone). I distinctly remember this and agreed with him. May or may not be a "good" block, but it's nevertheless one of the more dangerous football plays. Let's get the play out of football.

Last night, he commends the technique of a Bama player for doing the exact thing. Said the way he did it was safe, and how it should be taught, while Alexander is lying hurt on the sideline. Makes absolutely no mention of the opinion he shared in a previous game.

I'm not saying it should have been a penalty, but he most certainly changed his stance when a bama player was the one who performed the block.

I have learned to like Gary more over the years (or just not dislike him), I just don't see why the media tries to do so many favors for what is clearly the best program in the game. I lost respect for him last night on that call. He is a hypocrite.

3 holding penalties in 5 years? by PotatoChip

Maybe I wasn't paying that much attention to it bu I saw only one play by Bama on offense where holding should have been called.......

I hate LSU fans always looking for someone else to blame....

We had A poor offensive performance last night... They made plays when it mattered and we didn't.... The refs did NOT cost us the game last night......

Look, Bama is a better team, that's why they keep winning.

But you can't ignore that they get the benefit of no calls. They do it all game, they lead with their heads, sit on players after the play, hold, hand check, etc.

They are officiated like Lebron. He is the best player, but would not look nearly as dominant if they called charges on him as he bullies his way to the basket for half of his FG attempts. He goes to the rim with his hand out like a tailback stiff arming dudes.

In other words, he would still be the best player either way, but his style of play would have to change if he were officated like other player. No calls on stars in the NBA is a very real thing and has been for a while. The problem is you simply can't call it every time. I think the same thing happens with Bama.

This is not an excuse, it's simply an observation. Not just against LSU.

Are you new here? There is an actual study on this site somewhere where a professor did a study that proved Bama bias. They get almost 3 more holding penalties a game with non sec refs. I think they went a decade without a holding penalty in Tuscaloosa at one time.

That is as fair a game as we will ever get bro

Leave it up to our idiot fan base to continually blame our shitty play on Bama not having more penalties called against them.

No one blamed the loss on penalties, just pointing out that Bama is never called for holding. If you look carefully at the plays, you will see a lot of blatant holding by Bama...
