I'm trying to figure out if you guys are mad because he's dumb, or that someone so dumb makes more money than any body that posts on this board.

Does the fact that our quarterback had the worst game of his career and threw 3 interceptions in the first half have anything to do with the loss? Realistically we should have had 21 points in the first half, and instead we have O.

Mark Richt is a better comparison.

Richt hasn't won the SEC in 8 years. Miles won it 2 years ago.

Richt has won the SEC twice in 14 years. Miles twice in 9.

Miles also has a BCSNC.

I recognize and appreciate what Les has done throughout his tenure here at LSU and in no way think he should be fired this season. But as i posted in another thread, i do think if we lose a couple EE guys (freak, ego, collins) and go 7-5 next year i would strongly reconsider. Les is getting older as it is and i would hate to end up with a FSU/Bobby bowden situation where you have a stale program and are basically irrelevant for a decade on the national scale.

Realistically, Ole Miss should have had about 45 points...door swings both ways.

We were called the Aints and still watched every game.

Our issue is that Les makes 4 mil/yr and his decisions frustrate the shite out of the fans ( except you).

You have to admit that his players reflect his ways by making stupid mistakes that kill drives with penalties. Where is the well oiled machine. I know they are college kids, but other coach's get it done with less talent. (Ole Miss).

Longevity. 14 years winning 75%-80% of his games. Pretty much the same as Miles. Richt IS THE WINNINGEST COACH IN THE SEC OVER THE LAST 14 YEARS...winning almost 80% of his games!!!!11!

Sound familiar?

How has miles beat saban 3 times? Its not talent because bama out recruits us every year and takes our top players every year.

Ole Miss got it done one time, on one night, against a ranked team. They lost the three previous to that, remember? Just like Boise State can get up for a one game schedule, any team can come out for one game. I doubt you'll be seeing Ole Miss in a better bowl game or end up with more wins at the end of the season. Over the long haul I'll take Miles over any of the rest of them.

Mark Richt is a great comparison. In my opinion if Bama stays atop the west and as long as one team like Auburn, Arkansas, and A&M is right up there as well, this will be our fate. Win enough to keep everyone moderately happy and to keep your job, but struggle to reach the peak.

Well you can throw year 1 out. Saban was in his first year rebuilding Bama and Miles was in fifth gear running the program SABAN built.

Since Saban got the ball rolling...he is 69-7 over 6 years I believe, and Miles is 2-4 against him.

You are one of the few guys on here that I tend to agree with. I consider myself a realist, and between all the pessimist and optimist it's rare to see someone who actually thinks logically.

Hugh Freeze received a raise and a contract extension at Ole Miss, but he’s still tied with Kentucky’s Mark Stoops for the lowest paid coach in the SEC.

After taking Ole Miss from the doldrums to the spotlight, was it imperative for the Rebels to reward Hugh Freeze’s unreal coaching job? He took a 2-10 roster and transformed them in a 6-6 team that very easily could have won nine games.

Freeze will be paid $2 million in base salary for 2013 season, which is a $500,000 increase from this year. His contract was extended another year, keeping with the four-year maximum contract allowed under Mississippi state law.

Two million dollar difference. That's a lot of paid parking spots.

He had plenty to do with the 13-1.

Particularly the 1.

This. I'm not ok with mediocrity for as much as Miles get's paid. Losing games like Ole Miss Saturday is unacceptable. Every year we drop a game because the team isn't focused or overlooks an opponent. I can handle losing big games but we should be past this bullshite 9 seasons into Miles tenure with the talent we have. It's a discipline problem from the coach.

What about the whole winning the conference two years ago detail??

Well you can throw out year 1

And if you're going to throw out 2007 for Saban and give him credit for 2005-2007( do people really still do that?? ) can we throw out 08 and 09 for Miles since that was the time when Saban's shite sandwich he left Miles in the 05 recruiting class was supposed to be the senior leadership of the program??

SABAN BUILT that too right???

Go ahead. Just be prepared to throw out Miles' BCS NC as well since that team was lead by Saban recruited Seniors and that nice 34-6 record to start off at LSU.

Congrats, you just reminded the board that Miles is 57-17 with a chicken bowl and cotton bowl win since his recruits took over.

How did we lose those six games? You do realize that at least 7 wins a year is an absolute given. In reality with the pick of Louisiana's recruits you have maybe four legitimate chances to lose a year; Alabama and Florida plus two of these; Arkansas, A&M, Auburn and bowl opponent. You should never lose to Ole Miss. Spurrier would win 10 games a year with this talent as would a number of other coaches.
