He did not cost us that game Saturday even though he took respondsibility for it

He's the head coach, and we lost to an injured and depleted team.

He benched one of the best running backs in the country for his 1st fumble.

He started the game off with several 1 WR sets leaving arguably our best player (Landry) on the sidelines.

Congrats, you just reminded the board that Miles is 57-17 with a chicken bowl and cotton bowl win since his recruits took over.

But you said that we were throwing out the years that Saban built. If you want to throw out 07 and the NC because Saban bumped into Jacob Hester, Glen Dorsey, and Craig Steltz once on his way yelling at Ronnie Prude for getting burned in the Cap 1 bowl loss, then that includes 08 and 09 because of Saban's shite sandwich 05 class that should have been the junior and senior leadership of those teams.

That means Miles is actually 40-8 since HIS recruits actually took over in 2010. Not too shabby.

In fact, Saban is a 42-5 over that same time span, and only 2-2 against the monkey brain Miles.

Surely Saban, the Da Vinci of the gridiron, can do better than that with his process against Miles' fingerpainting class of a program???

05 was Miles' class. Nice try though. Unless you are going to try and convince me that Saban recruited Perrilloux.

The fact remains...the players who received the most coaching from Saban were gone after 2007.

Every player after that was completely coached up by Miles. 57-17

And if you're going to throw out 2007 for Saban and give him credit for 2005-2007( do people really still do that?? ) can we throw out 08 and 09 for Miles since that was the time when Saban's shite sandwich he left Miles in the 05 recruiting class was supposed to be the senior leadership of the program??

SABAN BUILT that too right???

hmmmmmm i thought you miles nut huggers always blamed 08-09 on that qb that miles had to kick off the team? saban sucks for ever recruiting him to LSU.

You really can't be serious. Did Matt Flynn, Jacob Hester, Early Doucet, Glenn Dorsey, Craig Steltz really receive "the most coaching from Saban" in your eyes???

Give me a break man.

Miles was hired a month before Signing Day. Saban had done jack shite for recruiting and left a bag of shite for Miles to pick up and try to salvage.

And as a matter of fact, Saban did recruit Perrilloux to LSU. Problem was, he lost him to Mack Brown.

It wasn't until Miles came in that he was able to flip RP to LSU.

So all the Saban groupies that give him credit for 07 NC, LSU doesn't even win the SEC without RP, who Miles signed, not Saban.

Saban lost the instate phenom at QB, kind of like he did with Jameis Winston.

Funny no one ever mentions that. Kid grows up less than an hour from BDS and Saban lost him to Jimbo. Not part of the process I guess.

You are PROVING MY POINT and you can't even see it.

These guys were the LAST guys on the team to be coached by Saban. He influenced them and set the tone for them when they came to LSU. Those guys have said this THEMSELVES.

I'd argue that crop of guys was the last of the real leaders LSU has had.

Since they left - 57-17.

That's a fact.

bwahahahahahahaha
saban wanted no part of RP. he was a "me" player. he never lost him to mack brown, he gave him to mack brown. thinking back LSU fans were kind of in a uproar that saban wasnt recruiting him. when hired miles started his gerry dinardo impression by visiting RP first.

I actually wouldn't disagree with you there. For some reason, we haven't had players that were the face of the program like that.

Which actually means Miles has provided the leadership. Through the shittiest QB era, dismissing high profile stars, coaching staff turnover, the one constant has been Miles.

Miles has maintained the level.of excellence this program demands. We've hit rough.patches, but he always has us there despite not always having players that can self motivate.

That's a fact.

Its also a fact that Saban left Miles nothing in 05s class, so that class provided very little in 08 and 09 when they should have been the juniors and seniors leading the program.

No, seriously, that is actually a fact as well.

You can look it up and everything.

Some people confuse Miles with the LSU program. He's a part of it, but not greater than.

You can love Les when it's appropriate, you can be pissed at Les when it's appropriate.

29-6 would be a good record for Tulane. Not a program that should be competing for titles.

I agree 100%. These people that always want to talk about stats never want to talk about the rent-a-wins or the losses where we had no business losing.

They have an agenda. Plain and Simple. I was a Miles supporter for a very long time and defended him on here more times than I can count but to continuously keep making the same mistakes year after year, I believe it is time for him to go. I read on another board and agree that our program is stale. We need something new and we all know Miles is not going to bring anything different to the table.

Guess what??

Through that "shitty" era, only compared to the rest of his stellar tenure of course, Miles led those shitty QBs and fluid staff to 41 wins in 4 years, our only undefeated SEC Championship in 50 years and a second NCG in four years.

If that isn't impressive and satisfying as a football fan, maybe it's what you're holding on to that is the real issue. Namely, your Saban underoos.
