Pretty cool read. LINK

quote:

On the surface, Burrow is a clear upgrade for the Tigers in what’s been a murky offseason quarterback competition. An accurate dual-threat QB who should fit the spread promises made by first-year OC Steve Ensminger, Burrow should be a passer capable of elevating a talented receiver room for the Tigers.

But there have been similar stretches of hope for LSU in the past under center.

I hate when this point is made. Burrow and Ensminger have nothing to do with that. It's the same as when people say LSU doesn't play well at Jordan-Hare. While that's historically accurate, it has nothing to do with this team.

Nothing like writing a self contradicting piece so you can pick the part you want in hindsight to say ...’see, I called it’

In the other loss, against Troy, Etling was pulled in favor of a true freshman quarterback.

In the week leading up to the game, O stated that he wanted to get reps for Brennan while the game was still in doubt. He wasn’t pulled for Brennan. fricking bloggers.

Are you referring to me or the writer? I personally have a really good feeling about Burrow or Myles , these wideouts and Einsminger.

I dont agree with the writer, just thought it was a good read.

Naw bruh, they pulled him for Brennan. Etling and that entire offense looked like dog shite. They couldn’t score against Troy.

I'd forgotten that we lived through the Jefferson/Lee two headed monster for 4 years.

Brennan will play Saturday against Troy "in an opportune situation where the game is still on the line," Orgeron said. "When we feel we can put him in and give him some game-time experience."

Neither one was an above average QB on their own, but together they were quite successful. Only Mettenberger has really been better over the last 9 years.

No he's not. He had nothing to do with any "dark stretch". Besides, no one stares behind himself.

This God awful QB play is almost entirely Les freaking Miles fault. Wow. What an exercise in futility.

If so, I wish we had that awful coach back, instead of the HC we now have.
