No, my first post was to show that talent cannot be used as an excuse for not winning 10 games this year.
so you weren't saying we should win 10 games, beating all the teams behind us, and that it was ok to lose 2, to the 2 teams in front of us?
why exactly did you only list the teams we play then?

Make up your mind.
the list is fine for what it is.
The laughable part is how you interpreted it to read that no team should lose to a team behind them.

If going on talent alone, yes we should win 10 games. Obviously, games are not played in a vacuum, and other factors impact the outcome of a game like player development, preparation, in game coaching, etc. My point was, talent is not a limiting factor for this team. If we don't win 10 games, it's because we were deficient in one of these other areas.

we are the third most talented team in the conference. There’s NO reason we shouldn’t go 10-2 in the regular season.
only one sec west team is not top 25.
The oline is in shambles.
Your idea that a top 10 team can't lose to a top 25 is so far off..

Well maybe not if you are talking about 6 losing to 25.
but if 6 loses to 116 and then fans try to say oh well shite hapz sometimes you just need to get over it blah blah blah suspensions blah blah blah injuries...well that's another matter.

easy on the dramatics, Liberace.
Ole miss is still really bad at defense. Florida beating up on Tennessee does not prove anything. just take it one week at a time.

That's not what I said, and that's not the point of the OP. The point is, if we lose more the 2 games, it's not because we weren't talented.

dont think anyone has really said its a limiting factor.
truth is, we play about 5-6 other really talented teams. You're right, they aren't played in a vacuum.

Eh. If the offensive line doesn't get healthy at some point LSU is going to lose a game or two that they shouldn't.

There were plenty of people saying it before the season.

The OL is definitely a major concern right now.

pretty sure the mantra of this board has been "10-2 no excuses".
its been this way since 2005-06

I don’t think many people were overly concerned with the talent on this roster. It looks a lot like teams of the past.
However I think many thought having so many new starters in a new scheme on offense would be a challenge.

Injuries may derail this season, which sucks because it's shaping up to be a fun one.
Fingers crossed that the team can hold it together.

ah yes, I was wondering how many pages you'd wait to bust this out after I already dismissed this chart a year ago.

Why did you leave out Tennessee?
They have the 13th best roster according to that survey.
