My problem is this
Alabama would NEVER be predicted to lose 3 games after a NC season
So why is 247 doing this bs?
We aren’t on Bama’s level yet. Take off the P&G glasses and it’s fairly easy to see that. We may never be that level and there’s nothing wrong with that - Bama is in the midst of arguably the greatest CFB dynasty of all time when you consider the current era they’re doing it in as well as playing in the SEC

but the lack of respect is frustrating
What lack of respect? Listen to ANYONE talk about the 2019 college team and you're hard-pressed to find anyone that won't acknowledge that LSU should be in the discussion for best team ever.
Why would they respect a team that just lost most of their starting 22? If LSU wants respect, they'll have to earn it on the field. 2019 was great, but it's over.
The reality is we have a new DC who has limited time to install his defense, with personnel who are more suited to a Base 3-4. We have a first year starting QB who isn't getting the same reps as Burrow got last year. We lost our PGC, who some think was responsible for the success of our entire offense, to the NFL.
We should be good. And by good, I mean that I think we will be 10-2. I also think we can go undefeated and win it all, depending on the success of Brennan and how conditioned our big boys on defense are. I also believe that 8-4 would be a bummer, but is totally realistic considering who we have to play every year.
If you're looking for a 2019 type year, I hate to break it to you but it's unlikely we ever see that again. If we were going to win another national title in either 2020 or 2021, '21 is the better bet.
Why is it always NC or bust on this board? Every player on this team has either won a NC or will be in good position to do so before they leave. It's hard to ask for much more than that.
Try to enjoy seeing Brennan progress throughout the season. Enjoy watching someone emerge our of Curry, TDP, and Emery. Enjoy seeing Chase in #7. Enjoy seeing if Marcel Brooks is going to become the next play-maker on defense. Enjoy seeing how our #2 corner (whether it's FLott or Ricks) responds to the offense completely ignoring Stingley.
There is so much to look forward to this season other than a title.

Not out of the question at all. I’d say 30% chance.

Would you rather they pick us to lose 3 or to go undefeated/lose 1 game? I’m ok with a 3 game loss prediction.
At the end of the day, there's alot of unknowns to sit there and project an undefeated season for LSU with the losses we've had. I'll take the respect theyre giving in that not very many people at all are saying its out of the realm of possibilities to go undefeated.
10-3 is respectable following up to a season like that. It's going to be redemption games for all the teams we skull drug.

We play Bama at home, there idiots.
I agree, I think it was a poorly worded sentence because Auburn and Florida are road games. But I read it the same way and was like WTF?
