Why worry about it now? How many of you are women?

It's a valid point. LSU needs to start making contingency plans just in case. This storm is projected to stall for a few days over the same area we are playing. Wouldn't be a bad idea to have a plan in advance. We don't want to look like FL last year and we need to play this game on schedule
It's not exactly LSU's call just like last year.
They can suggest things but it's not LSU's game

Nowhere does it say on Houston. Just says Texas.
Now can it happen, yes but as of now No one knows.

Move it to Jerry World, play it on a different day if need be. Logistics not impossible.

I think the contingency plan should be to play at BYU. Not a huge home field advantage, plus it would make us look good after we were somehow made out to be the bad guy in the UForfeit debacle.

Really? the path of most models show the storm traveling just northwest of Houston. Putting Houston in line for the most rainfall.

Looks like its the cotton bowl for us. Best solution if there isn't a game there on Saturday. If there is take a Friday night game. Its early enough and we aren't dealing with a stubborn Florida team with an injured QB. Also if half of Houston doesn't have power its going to be tough to explain why all the resources are going to a football game.

Play the game in Baton Rouge or Provo if Houston is a no-go.

You're talking about a major sporting event that will be attended by 70k people, two teams each with hundreds of personnel, vendors with thousands of personnel, first responders that could be spread very thin, and not to mention the need for a major venue to be located and preparations to be made for a possible venue change.
I'm not a woman, but you sound really dumb if you think the best course of action is for the decision makers to do nothing right now. "Worrying" about it now and making contingency plans is exactly what prudent minds should be doing.

You are not a decision maker. LSU needs to worry about it, but you need to stop whining. It's embarrassing.

Please point to one of my posts I said I was.

Exact same thing I said before you got you started spouting BS.

24 inches of rain in Houston by bah humbugPumps work in Texas.
Houston - like the rest of the country (except NOLA) drains via gravity --- and for those of us living in Houston, we know --- it doesn't drain all that well when Tropical Storm-type monsoons occur.
Anything over 6 inches of rain in a compressed time period will flood impacted parts of Houston.
12+ inches of rain over 24 - 48 hours over a large swath of the greater Houston area, we'll be completely submerged.
Google "tax day flood Houston" -- i.e. April 17, 2016 for a picture of what heavy, concentrated rains do to Houston.
