People need to realize that Will Stout was an unpaid student here. He was going to leave soon anyway unless something changed otherwise.

Also, as the article said MJ told Mars Blackmon that it wasnt the shoes. In this case it was not the videos... it was who was in the videos. If LSU was 9-3 last year the vids they could have made would have been pretty lame. The fact that LSU was on a title run and Burrow was on a Heisman run made the videos relevant and popular.
So from that perspective the LSU Video team did a great job at the precise time it was needed and wanted. It wont do much for the Trojans if they dont have material to drive the effort.

I think it’s awesome. Our kickass season + his great work landed him a dream opportunity: the chance to move to L.A. and study at USC. There’s not a better gig in the country for someone who wants to get into film.

I am super stoked for Will

The guys are good and I wish them well.

But USC is not LSU on the field right now.

Would we be talking about them if they had been at USC last year? I highly doubt it. Who the hell wants to watch a hype video for a terrible team?

Thanks for your service boys and hope you have a great career.

LSU will be just fine.

The thing is nobody cares about hype videos for 7-5 football teams.

So what happens when they get spielberg to direct the most awesome hype video ever and the entire country tunes in to watch USC get wrecked by Oregon? Is that a win?

Shame that Woodward didn’t even try to match the offer. Stout is a legend and should have been protected at ALL costs. Literally let our hype video coordinator for the next 25 years walk for nothing

No one cares about the videos if LSU isn’t a contender last year.

USC’s program is a in a really bad spot right now.

USC can compete at the highest level -- if only it will. The arrival of Brown and Stout proves that.

Wait they are talking about hiring video guys as proof of something?

I don't think anyone doubts USC could be a power again if they prioritized it but that just comes off as pathetic

When you're going to Baton Rouge to get two guys from the digital video dept to make your team look better and bring excitement to the programs, something is definitely not going in the right direction.

I mean, the videos were nice, but I think people are acting like they were some sort of amazing cinematography.

They were average and only made better in people's minds because of how the season turned out.

Plenty of people can be found to make equivalent quality videos.

Good luck to the two of them, they did a "good" job, and have earned an opportunity in a bigger market. Some of the people slobbering over their "work" is ridiculous.

"They're in film....". As I recall, Reggie Bush left La. for USC/ L.A / Hollywood too. Pleas advise as to how many Academy Awards he's won, in any category.
