2024 Football Outlook is falling fast: Transfer DT news

Anyone who watched the Spring Game, looked at our depth chart, or heard what Kelly said knows we needed to hit the portal hard. I wanted to share what an insider on another board said as it is very enlightening on how Kelly operates and it’s not good:
“ I tried to warn yall. I’m not going to get into specifics, but I’ve seen this play out over and over again.
This generally falls on one man. I love BK, but he refuses to fund raise. It bums me out to say this, “money was in a better situation with O.”
We circled four transfer DTs to solve our problem and ensure we could compete for a championship this year:
1. Barrow from Michigan State: Visited but didn’t commit. He’s visiting Miami next and word is they are paying more than us. He’s gone
2. Damonic Williams from TCU: At Texas and word is they aren’t letting him leave without committing
3.CJ West from Kent State cancelled his visit.
4. Patrick Jenkins from Tulane hasn’t entered and doesn’t look like he will.
We need bodies and the kid from Wisconsin ain’t going to cut it. It’s very bad news that Kelly refuses to pay what is necessary because DT will be what holds us back from playoff contention

Just because a school says they aren’t letting a player leave without committing doesn’t mean it’s actually going to happen.

Yeah I warned ya'll about Kelly getting the #1 class in 2025. Yep. I heard through the grapevine that he can't get the #1 QB, #1 RB and #1 WR in the same class. Not to mention all the bumper crop class of '25 and '26 DT's we are recruiting with Bo on board. But let's get rid of him now before he gets the #1 class in 2026 too. He sure sucks at recruiting.

Go look at the 2025 class and tell me he doesn't fund raise. Maybe he has funds but would rather spend them on potentially great players for 2025 rather than one and done guys for 2024? Maybe he is thinking long term while you are thinking about 1 season.

I’m not one to usually be gloomy on here but boys it’s not looking good at all. Neither Jenkins Williams West or Barrow are coming here.
West has grade issues
Jenkins isn’t entering
